As a casual viewer I was really impressed by the editing (really well done) I was confused when you started comparing it to future ace attorney games but I usually got what you were trying to say but overall this video got me interested play the games and good to know that the switch version is the best so I don’t get a infieror version (like I did with dark souls) Good video I was entertained for a person who Knows nothing about this series
I personally still love ace attorney after the years of not playing it. The new ace attorney games for me just keep getting better and better like this channel! I’m hoping to get back into ace attorney and this channel reignites that interest again :)

0:29 Damn it IKG! I'm trying to pass time while I wait for my phone to get fixed so I can finally play Episode 5. Stop reminding me of it! Also, the IOS port of the trilogy was how I got into the series so while it's definitely garbage, it will always have a special place in my heart. Really though, I'm just glad that Ace Attorney finally has a good HD port. I'll still probably prefer the DS versions due to their charm(and also nostalgia) but I can't argue against a newcomer to the series playing these ports.
Hahaha! I still need to play it as well. Also, I can relate to being first exposed to the series by the mobile ports. There were many nights when I played PW and JFA in odd, 20 minute intervals on school nights. XD And yeah! I cannot agree more regarding this collection.

Great video. I'm torn on buying this. I've never played any graphic novel style games. These do seem universally loved though. I think I'll go ahead and get it.
Played this on the 3DS and just got it on PS4. I currently have no gripes with the PS version (only at case 1-3 so far) The upgraded visuals look beautiful, and runs smoothly as well. I wish the cursor was a little faster which makes me miss the touch screen. Maybe a small patch in the future will add a cursor speed option

Oh boy, get ready for some german-cringe. Looking back, I can't believe I actually experienced the whole trilogy and half of AJ in german before switching to english. The biggest problem is that the german version lacks a lot of the nuances in the writing that the english version offers. Also, allergies are a b*tch. I'm dying to it myself at the moment.

I'm new to AA Games,I only started playing the first game in the trilogy and I am on the 3rd case,really loving it,but one thing I do wish that these games would have is full voice acting,I don't care if it's only in Japanese,voices would really make the game alot better.

The UI of the new port looks so anonymous and bland compared to the DS/GBA games IMO. Otherwise it looks great. I still don't get why they didn't include all the languages the original DS games were translated into, like Italian and Spanish.
Perhaps the original releases in those languages didn't sell all that well, so Capcom didn't see returns in including them , since they'd need to alter all the graphics for it.
Now, I generally don't like the new interface design for a few reasons (It feels too... modern? Clean? I dunno. Ace Attorney has a very nostalgic feel to it that just doesn't fit with the menus...) but what I'm *really* sad about is the cut-ins. Those little blue bars with close-ups of the defense and prosecution's faces when cross-examining? Gone. I only noticed it recently, but now that I've noticed, I can't stop thinking about how *empty* it makes the cross-examination feel...
2:25 and 2:48 Dammit, since I learned a bit of katakana, I can now read Naruhodo (his name technically is Naruhodō or Naruhodou, the u is not there for some reason) and Mayoi. Normally I wouldn't hate these changes... Until you realize that this fact completely screwed up the possibility of bringing the Dai Gyakuten Saiban games to the west (thank god there's an English patch). And you can't play these games in Spanish (Capcom, why?).
@@IKGProductions oh, i assumed it wasnt canon cuz in RFTA detective gumshoe was fired and edgeworth resigned, however thats not the case in the next case, cuz gumshoe is still a detective and edgeworth appears in later cases, and also, ema just disappears
@@daveshusband2606 Edgeworth resigning is his whole "choosing death" thing from JFA, Gumshoe was fired by Gant, it can be infered this was undone when he was stripped of his power (and myabe a little influence from Edgeworth) And Ema appears all the time after the trilogy, since those were all written after RFTA was added

You actually left something out. Technically the Steam port is the weakest of all these current new trilogy releases, because it has a bug that none of the other versions do. If you don't select VSync as ON, the animations and text go WAY too fast. This already has hurt a number of Let's Plays on RUclips, as they hadn't noticed this glitch until it was pointed out to them in later parts. While the PS4 and Switch versions obviously don't have this issue.
Yes, this is true. However, I default to turning VSync on with my games, so I didn’t discover this until after the review had released. I’m really sorry about that.
My personal idea for AA7 is to either wrap up Apollo’s story or give Athena top billing. Hell they could do both if they went the route of games like Fire Emblem Fates or the Zelda Oracle games
@@tantris2876 people have different interests. You may find it boring but for the people who love reading dialog and different stories they will find it pretty interesting. I can’t change your mind weather YOU liked it or not cuz at the end of the day it’s your opinion and everyone has different opinions. It doesn’t suck it’s just not your cup of tea
