It is a mediterranean thing 100%, not arab... arabs didnt reach greece for example and you will find similar sounds, the same for anywhere around the mediterranean, funny enough, no one in the middle east or morocco sings like this...
You comment that you see Middle East vibes, and that's totally accurate because a lot of Spanish music genres have a great influence from Arabic and Indian music. That's because the arabics occupied the peninsula a long time ago.
