  • Grasses can range way beyond the green stuff on your lawn. These basket stuffer grasses work great in a mixed container and as a landscaping feature. You won't want to take a mower to these... they're too unique and are perfect for adding some height or texture to your garden.
One thing to note about some of the fountain grasses are their fluffy plumes-cut these at the end of the season and use the in your fall flower arrangements.
    Featured Ornamental Annual Grasses:
    - Pennisetum setaceum (Rosy Fountain Grass)
    - Pennisetum setaceum 'Rubrum'
    - Pennisetum setaceum 'Fireworks'
    - Pennisetum purpureum 'Prince'
    - Pampas Grass

    Purple fountain grass..annual grass ..I
had 3 georges grasses 2022/23....stunning grass....but it did not come back here in lower michigan..our winter was very mild..but these grasses still died off...my suggestion is to dig up and remove if you can before snow falls or temperatures drops....i just removed mine 5/5/24...what a mess....so take heed please...

I rescued 4 small pots of fireworks variety and palnted them in small raised beds. We live in Eastern WA, at 3700ft and have a short growing season with deep freezing winters. I realized after reading avout this grass that , unfortunately they can't overwinter in the ground. We have 2 high tunnels and 2 raised beds with A-frame style cold frame lids. I could find a place for them in something like that and place a fabric row cover over them for the winter.

Thanks for info, we have purple fountain grass outside our bedroom window and it’s calming to see it flowing in the breeze. Maybe ditch the music, it’s distracting

as much as I love your videos and all your knowledge, the music constantly going while your talking is making it hard for me to listen and hear you. it's so awful and annoying. wish I could watch, but I can't take it!
