I saw My Son the Hurricane in a dinky bar in Windsor called the DH about 4 years ago. I see a lot of local bands there, and let me tell you, I've never seen a group blow the roof off of a place the way these guys did. It's a group of 11 or 12 guys who do everything live - the trombone, the sax, trumpets, guitars, everything; and it's all choreographed, and it's all synced together. The vocalist dances the whole time, even while she's singing. The emcee never stops jumping and moving, even while rapping; he actually worked himself so hard that night he had to leave the stage early during their last song to go throw up in the parking lot. Every single person in this group is a person cares so fucking much about the music and the scene, and that passion colours everything they do. It makes for an incredible live performance, whether you're looking up to them on a broad stage or are standing in front of them in a tiny, hot, sweaty building that can barely contain the enthusiasm they bring.
If I ever get the chance to see you guys live in a dinky Windsor bar again, I'm taking it. Please come back!! :D

One of my favorite parts of going to my local festivals. They blew it up once again at Folly Fest X.
They played at Evolve last year to limited crowd (shit weather, low attendance, bad stage design that was being protested) but they still laid it all out for us and gave just as much energy as they always do.
Do yourself a favor - go see them, especially if you've only heard the recordings/videos. You owe it to yourself and them.

It’s pretty crazy that it’s been so long since these guys started up. I found out about them when I saw a poster for a show when I was working in St Catherine’s back in 2011. Unfortunately haven’t got a chance to see em live, at least not yet.

I met Danno and Fraser when they were playing with Searson and played up in Northern NH. They were so damn talented and just cool guys, so when I heard they had this band I had to check them out. I was not disapointed. So...Damn...good! Like a mix of Rage Against the Machine and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, but not. They are their own sound and I still can't get enough of this song!
This song means a lot to me it makes me smile brings me lots of joy at times when I need it most or just want to be a little happier 💜
