Ibadan was supposed to be the Nigerian city where Yoruba is used as an official language, but Nigerian government has just ignored the language.

That’s a good point, tho I feel Abuja was chosen over cities like Ibadan because it was seen as a neutral ground, not tied to any particular ethnic group. This neutrality was meant to foster unity and reduce regional bias in governance.

By now the Bower's tower should be developed into a light house that can serve the whole of Ibadan, either for light up project or security purpose but here we are.

If the Government invest in all these tourist attractions, it will be a whole lot of revenue for them, not only by taxing citizens, this is also a very good way for them to make money, I was at Agodi Gardens few months ago and the condition is not even encouraging. So these places may become history.

I think the movie Lisabi revolves around this story also. Just saying.

Exactly, most of the recent movie from the Nollywood industry revolves around conflicts caused by tributes in the Yoruba land. Lisabi is indeed one of them. How the Oyo empire almost drained the Egbas with tribute.
