I like your build, it’s not too long, meaning it doesn’t looks silly and doesn’t need those stupid foot pegs sticking out the front that so many builds have.
U dont state why, but id be more worried about the MIG just zapping the BMS through the ground. Jump starting EFI cars used to be a bad thing back in the day, but ppl roll it often.
@@rkaid7 You've noted one possible reason. Another is catastrophic cell failure. Even partly charged batteries are just waiting for a reason to discharge, and they'll discharge everything they've got in an instant if ruptured. Releasing noxious gasses, flames and will most likely explode. You do anything to jeopardise the integrity of that cell, ie: poke a nail into it, or burn through the layers, etc, it will blow up in your face. One video that comes to mind is the guy who bites a cell phone battery to check its authenticity. It was only a cell phone battery but it goes off like an incendiary grenade. Scary stuff.

Outstanding job. I would like to suggest what I think should be your next project. I know that a CNC Mill would very beneficial to ypu with your projects. It would definitely reduce the manufacturing time and costs. Just my suggestion good sir.
Hi Austin, i'd really appreciate your advice on the topic of a motor for my build, i have access to 12v and 24v alternators in star and delta wiring formats and also 12v and 24v starter motors which i could add some cooling vents to as you suggested. which of these would you recommend most suitable for the job? Many Thanks for the beautifully produced and very informative videos.
Austin, I’ve watched this video 30 times. Copied most of the stuff you and Colin did. I’d love it if you posted a couple screen shots of the bms settings for the controller.. I’m having trouble dialing mine in.
Just found your channel and loving it mate! Some of the links in your description has expired, are you able to post new ones? Keen to make a replica of this. Also wondering if I can use a spare 12v car battery I have for this or for an alternator powered bike? Would it just be a case of a different controller? Cheers
Yeah I found that a little questionable. It was just a waste of time and filament, when you could of printed a 2d template on paper faster and cheaper. Just a man looking for an excuse to play with his toys I guess
What was wattage of the motor you used ,from a fan from DOWNUNDER AND THE GEAR RATIOS LOOKED LIKE 13 FRONT AND 25 BACK WAS THAT RIGHT , DEFINITELY THE BEST ONE YOU HAVE MADE LOVE THE CHANNEL🇦🇺😜🕺🍺
My cousin and I as well as a few friends want to build some and run around my cousins neighborhood with them but I am 6'3" 300lbs my concern is finding an electric motor with enough power to move me any thoughts
hi i'm french i'm watching all your videos super your drift trike colin furze version how many watts is it with this configuration? I’m also making one but I’ve changed the frame you can see it on my channel
Brilliant work, love seeing people build these.
Thank you Colin! Means a lot coming from the man himself!
Omg i love you colin!!!!
Furzearmy!!!

Wow looks just like colin furze's one
I think with the amount of people inspired to build a drift trike, we're going to have to get a racing league started soon. . .
We have ordered Nearly all the parts to make one, we did purchase a welder as well. Cheers for the inspiration, as well as Colin !
how much does it cost in total?
The first thing I thought of when I first saw one of these several years back was... "Cool! An adult sized Big Wheel!"
I’ve been asking for this!! 🙏 thank you!!
Your welcome!!
I love colin furze's videos so I really enjoyed this one
Colin Furze is a legend, great drift trike.👍👍👍
Excellent! Do often think a traction trike with brakes would be fun too...
Nice craftsmanship. I think you could do well with band-saw. Cool action shoot!
Such an insperation and he is so underated
Flick of the switch..... ***subscribe ***! Nice touch 👌
Yeah
THIS IS AMAZING!!

Fantastic!!
Great stuff!
Just started doing the same but loving your set up!!!
Awesome project
Love the vid Austin!
Thank you!
Super!!!
Nice!
Dude you have a lot of tools!!
3:48 Don't weld with the batteries in place. Ever.
Use a dummy block. Hell, even a piece of wood is more preferable.
Just don't weld near batteries.

I'm not Colin furze but I am a Colin..... that's bang on youth!!!
Very cool! I would like one without the drift tires. Front suspension added for a little comfort. It would be my daily driver! 👍
You'd neeed to weld in a front suspension then, or find a BMX-style mountain bike with hydraulic suspension.

Sick build man! I may have missed this in the video, but how long does the battery pack last you during continuous use?

Hey Austiwawa, love this build , I consider building one too, how much Watt is your electric motor?

i wonder what its like w/o the drift wheel covers? put some rubber down and GOOOO!!!
You can also 2D print the template a glue stick it to the metal. Works really good too
yah, on a printer. An ink printer.
Yeah I found that a little questionable. It was just a waste of time and filament, when you could of printed a 2d template on paper faster and cheaper. Just a man looking for an excuse to play with his toys I guess
@austiwawa
Well done!
Which 3D printer did you use?
How did you make the throttle control?
Woah
I need a more indept version of this.
FANTASTIC ! that is a pure adrenaline fun machine . take it to an indoor parking garage with ramps . the cops will never catch you . 😂

where do you get the rear sprockets and the front ones
Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! am i so poor dude i also want to do stuff like you and Colin :D Greetings from México Wey!!!
Just wondering how much did this cost for everything like including the wheels and bmx used bike
Did you ever thought about a 3wd drift trike? The same as here but combined with a electric front wheel.
cool beans man! take a thumb and a sub!
Is that PVC plastic on the back wheels?
I'm building an electrical trike. and i need some help. i have a 1000 w 49 v battery. how would i make the wheels spin or make it drive.

What material are the sleeves on the rear wheels?
His, "easy enough" is my "it's impossible"
Whats better front wheel drive or rear wheel for drift trike? On a budget please. I only have 500watts power, dont see why you need more?
My cousin and I as well as a few friends want to build some and run around my cousins neighborhood with them but I am 6'3" 300lbs my concern is finding an electric motor with enough power to move me any thoughts
I'm building a petrol engine one and this was my worry as I'm 6 foot 7 and 110kg!!! 125cc is awesome but just wheelies without sleeves lol

Would it drift with Sticky Tyers?
Probably not as well. Would be faster though (although that's not really the point of a drift trike).
I hope Colin sees this
I have, its brilliant

Make a Tesla go-kart into a drift cart
Its already powerful enough to lose traction after the battery upgrade
Create more of the Tesla videos
I have a question: Can you build me one? $$
Man I'm so poor I had to steal a Tesla break it down so I could copy what you built.
Lol can i have ur mini tesla :P
