You Definitely should and I hope you do get more videos on that topic for sure but don't say it's more devastating for girls. Losing your hair is equally bad. I've shaved my head last year to try and embrace the baldness but loads of girls said I looked way better before (I didnt tell them I did it because of androgenic alopecia). Been balding since 18 and I'm 22 now, started taking all kinds of drugs that effect my hormone levels and even sexual health just in the hopes of getting some of my hair back. Balding sucks for everyone, not just women. That's all I want to say.

Now, I'm consuming 2 tablets of minoxidil 0.5mg each, and I'm afraid that it might be a very low dosage compared to the topical 5%. What are your thoughts? Should I get bigger tablets? Or maybe combina the oral with the topical? Thanks ;)

    • @cjbolan8059

The side effects are typically associated with the higher doses. Stick with 2.5mg or less and you're unlikely to experience side effects if you are otherwise in good health. With oral minoxidil, a bigger dose isn't necessarily a more effective dose. It just increases the risk of side effects, some of them quite nasty.

I used the topical minoxidil for three months with no problem, then the itching and rashes started. Now my Dr. Rx oral minoxidil. Is this going to be just as effective as the topical? And is my hair going to do the dreaded shed again? I hope this works. Im getting really tired of trying things that only make me feel worse.

Can Oral Minoxidil works on thickening the hairline and turns the vellus hair into terminal hair. I have a number of vellus hair on the hairline but finasteride and topical minoxidil are still not turning the vellus hair into terminal, after 4 months.

Btw the side effect of bodyhair growth 'should' be stopped/nullified or at least slowed down if you're taking oral finasteride because body hair relies on DHT to grow unlike scalp hair.
I'm just letting people know because some people could either want more bodyhair or the opposite.

    • @LarsRyeJeppesen

That's unfortunately not true. Body hair is not very DHT sensitive compared to scalp hair.

I started monoxodil almost 2 months ago. The only side effect I've had is increased shedding. I've already lost so much hair due to telogen effluvium. The texture of my hair hasn't changed at all

Dr. Vikram- Dr, Rossel, thanks a lot for your fantastic channel.
Can you pls let us know about biotin too?
Is it good to take it with Finasteride 1mg?
    As pills or shampoo?
    What you recommend?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

Finasteride remains in your system for atleast 3 days straight....so 0.5 mg of fin daily will do the job with very less likely of side-effects..... checkout his other videos on finasteride
