Thanks for your time. I'm brand new to airbrushing and learning a lot from you. When you use colors that aren't obvious to newbs like umbers and siennas could you explain them a little better?
umbers and sienna are pretty basic artistic colors. But each brand is going to be a little different in shades. I try and list colors when painting just so people can know what im using. That looks amazing, I am definitely going to give this a try. Do you need particular paints to create this effect? I have mostly acrylics and some Liquitex inks.
Nope no special paints. You could actually be a little more vibrant with the inks even than I did here. Just make sure and follow the colors and this is way easier than it looks... I’d do a couple small trial runs before committing to anything expensive 😃
often I only use one. And for a long time thats all i had to work with. keep a spray bottle of water and a dump tank/cup something. dump the excess paint, flip the brush spray the water in the cup, flip back up put water in spray it through the brush, backflush and dump water and you are good for color change usually.
it may have been hit with the purge.. I had an issue where music I paid for to be used in videos was claimed as copyright. I had a license.. but it was easier to delete any video with music in it than try and fight things.
im a huge fan of the small dual piston regular quiter compressors over airbrush compressors. IE California air tools and those similiar. I have a video about that under the popular video tab on my main page it will be top of the list.

I have just one airbrush and am reluctant to use it because I am just not understanding how you are using so many colors. Do you have more than one airbrush that you are using at a time or are you cleaning your brush everytime that you change colors.??? If you have more than one brush you are using, what do I do to solve this issue? I cannot afford to purchase multiples of brushes when I am just doing this as a hobby!
using waterbased paint: I keep a spray bottle of water. I dump out excess paint, and use the spray gun to flush out the cup. dumping the water a couple of times. spraying water through the brush.. While at first it will be tedious after a while you can perform color change cleanings in just a few seconds. Even a long tedious process would be less than a minute or so.
if you look at 34:30 i think you will see its not as dark as appears on camera. this was shot with an original iphone SE and my studio lighting was not great 4 years ago. But at the end of the day, this was a fairly quick general how to based on a photo a viewer sent to me. (im pretty sure it was just a digital art piece originally)

i have an extraction fan that pulls air away from me which is why you see a slotted "easel" But yes I still should wear a mask. But you cant talk very well in one. @@TheAIRspace Thank you!
How many brushes do you use at one time. I only have 1 brush so changing colours is a bit of a pain!
often I only use one. And for a long time thats all i had to work with. keep a spray bottle of water and a dump tank/cup something.
dump the excess paint, flip the brush spray the water in the cup, flip back up put water in spray it through the brush, backflush and dump water and you are good for color change usually.
Where did you get the magnetic back board and what size is it? I found the magnets not the back board.
What is the texture stencil you use and where can I buy one? Great job.
it is the Gerald Mendez texture effects stencil.. you can find them on Amazon. or I believe get them from my spraygunner link in the descripti n 🙂
What’s the name of the dried plant you use for adding grass to your artwork?
black beard wheat.
@@TheAIRspace thanks
Trying to find your video tutorial on misty mountains. Please help:)
it may have been hit with the purge..
I had an issue where music I paid for to be used in videos was claimed as copyright. I had a license.. but it was easier to delete any video with music in it than try and fight things.
What would you recommend as a good air compressor to get
im a huge fan of the small dual piston regular quiter compressors over airbrush compressors.
IE California air tools and those similiar. I have a video about that under the popular video tab on my main page it will be top of the list.
@@TheAIRspace thank you
This is fantastic! I just got an airbrush and your videos are so helpful. Gotta admit that I thought it was a moon not a sun 😂
Actually it should be a moon.. but I haven’t bothered to correct my mis speaking 😂
Thank you!
@@TheAIRspace you mentioned in it that you can make a texture stencil. Do you have a video on that or would you make one?
@@leahrenea2709 I do have a video on making stencils with a stencil burner.
Let me dig it up for you
It’s an old one, but this is what I make.
I also use tons of other items. I need to update texture tools. ruclips.net/video/J0-g5WlNwlw/видео.html
@@TheAIRspace you are so awesome for doing this! I'm creative but never been artistic and I've decided to fix it. Under isolation seems like a great time. I've subbed and I'm looking forward to watching all your videos
Does coffee get bonus points?
coffee always gets bonus points around here
Love some majic bean juice But im a plain black simple coffee guy
Where’s E.T.? On his bike? 🤣. Good job.
Et may have joined the team on lost in space : )
Great job... I've subd, I am going to learn plenty from here, I can see.
im covered up in work for christmas at the moment.. however I got plenty coming up soon. And i have quite a few you can browse through. :) Thanks!
The Red over spray which color mix u did not show that part
I'm not certain at the moment which part. If you can point me to a time point in the video I'll look.
It's been a year since I made this one, so my memory is a bit fuzzy on it at the moment 😀
Can you do it on a canvas
@@jacqwerner7919 yes I don’t think I did any scratching techniques on this so definitely. I would probably use a slightly different technique on the bright white reversing and dabbing in with a brush perhaps since brush texture wouldn’t matter, But either way would work
@@TheAIRspace thank you for answering me back. And thank you so much for your videos I'm learning a lot and I greatly appreciate that you share your talent with us out here. I think some of us have discovered that we have a talent we didn't know about and I want to give you thanks for that. have a wonderful day and happy painting!
@@TheAIRspace thank you for the reply. maybe you could do a video on changing and cleaning paint while creating?!?!?!
You in West Virginia?
Nashville 😊
if the light comes in that peak , should it not light up the road? it is way to dark below....
if you look at 34:30 i think you will see its not as dark as appears on camera. this was shot with an original iphone SE and my studio lighting was not great 4 years ago. But at the end of the day, this was a fairly quick general how to based on a photo a viewer sent to me. (im pretty sure it was just a digital art piece originally)
where can I find those stencils?
I edited the description The stencil Iused was one of the three from the texture fx one set. Which were designed by gerald mendez! So you can now find that in the description!
@@TheAIRspace thanks a lot Sir. I will delve into airbrushing in the near future
Help im talking and rambling and so on
Thanks for watching! we appreciate every one of you! In addition to the links in the description you can find many of the paints I use here!
spraygunner.com?aff=15
The above is an aff link, which means I may be compensated when you shop from said link!
They help the channel without costing extra to you!
In the background. Go ! Cameraperson.
yeah my wife was hitting the button for me.. and trying to be quiet... i thought about editing it out... but meh.
Do you not need a mask while you're airbrushing?
i have an extraction fan that pulls air away from me which is why you see a slotted "easel" But yes I still should wear a mask. But you cant talk very well in one.
If im being truthful i rarely wear a mask on regular work. But i run my filtration system all the time. But you should practice wearing a mask.. i have a full video devoted to that subject.
Make me a tutorial on how to make some money dude. ☹️
I barely survive off my art But there is a plan in place and hopefully will do more : )
