In a sequel you don't need to rehash the rules but in a reboot at the name implies you are starting over from nothing so you need to establish your characters, the world you are in and any lore again like the whole only death by beheading thing or no fighting on sacred ground and the whole quickening there can only be one thing

Cavill will have an easier time pulling off a Highlander than Lambert, also is more versed in action, and hasn't Lambert's vision problems, as well the director being someone who is coming from the stunt side of things, and who just did the John Wick series has me very hopeful for a strong showing.

Only my favorite franchise of all time! Even if it totally reboots all the continuity the underlying concepts are just too wonderful to leave dormant. I loved the movies (including the fan made ones), The TV series (Even better!), the cartoon series, the Manga, the books (including the different format An Evening At Joe's and the "What If" TPs as well as the wonderful paperbacks), the comics from two different publishers and a couple of books about the franchise itself! Especially loved that book on the TV series that called itself the Watcher's Guide To Highlander The Series. Fans of the show will get the pun. Anyway, as you can see I have a long vested interest in this project. Bring it on but please don't tell me there can be only one!

Lambert is 67 and Paul is 65. I'm not certain what is considered canon anymore, but having either or both of them in some role would be great. I don't think Cavill's highlander character should be named Connor or Duncan.

The 2010 game "Highlander: The Game" looked like it was going to be good. but it never came out as it was cancelled part way thrue production.
Whoever did the research and commentary for this. Did poor job. As the original movie was not an initial success, but became a cult classic. Nor did it give Christopher Lambert his big break into stardom. Then as for the immortals originally they did not gain the knowledge and memories of their vanquished goes. They was brought in later. Adrian Paul as Ramirez would be Fantastic and would tie the old to the new possible franchise! Another possibility is to use the now wizened character actor Clancy Brown (original Kurgan) as the priest of the holy ground sanctuary Church. So many possibilities. I know the younger generations are sick of all the reboots and remakes. But it is Hollywood business to repackage old movie stories as new goods. The original Star Wars was a recycled repackaged older Japanese sword flick The Hidden Fortress. If it worked once and made money, do it again.

And my response was "Uh, sure, if that's Donny Yen... But he's got a couple of cool fight scenes in this movie" and my buddy says "Looks like we both get to learn about something cool today" 😂

Ok, I want to put this into perspective for everybody. NO Sean Connery, NO Clancy Brown and NO Christopher Lambert which means this is ONLY Highlander in name. Nothing can out do the original Highlander movie. Nothing has yet. Everything after that was crap.
One of my most favorite movies ever,... for them not to over Hollywoodize it now will be near impossible for them.
They just can't help themselves. They'll ruin it. Again. Or worse,... WOKE it, politicize it or try to make a statement of some kind of BS.
