You will want to see the One Wheel course, the new dock at the Lake, upgrades to the bunks/beds in F5-9 and a remodel of Tucson and Tombstone which is in process. Abilene to completely finished. Hard to believe that so many projects have been finished!!
That's amazing but nothing beats the original family style days and scraping into the pig buckets at the end 😉 golden Ironwood age and I was so blessed to be a part of that. Thankful God used camp in my life!
Amy, this is Sam … yes we grew up in the “Golden Age” of Ironwood. The cow tongue relay was acceptable and we lived through it. I can say that I am glad we don’t still do it but it was definately a different era. Family style was lost because of regulation as opposed to choice. Not a hill to die on but I do remember how cool it was to have a server all week that you got to know or vice versa … the server got to know us and stocked our table with several towels for the inevitable spill of our junior abilities. Good times … thanks for commenting and taking us down memory lane … even pig buckets that were called that because we fed the pigs … that’s recycling …. We were ahead of our times!!
We ended up getting the cabinetry at cost for the main part. We did build the barn doors from scratch and they are heavy as they are trimmed on both sides. Also the wall treatment was done in house and of course all the trim … so … yeah you are right … the wood tools have been well used!!
I hope you make enough money! I know it can be expensive but at the same time there is so much to do and it is so good to get away. Let us know if money is the reason you can’t go. Sometimes we can help …. Or I should say that others like to help others get to camp :)

2023 will be my third year there if I make enough money by march😁 I'm excited to see any changes in person
