I have never catch a video of yours so early, I have that same sketchbook but in square format, I'm really excited to try it out after watching yours 😎
Hey Anca, glad you're not disappointed with my recommendation. They're usually at similar price with Moleskine and the others, shame you paid so much on shipping. If you like a bit of grain the Dealer Rowney Artist's mixed media Cachet sketchbook is quite good too. It's the one wirebound with purple hard cover, 250gsm.I use it more for practice but it can take quite a lot of water and abuse.S&B are definitely better though.Very cute animals especially the sugar glider(not many people draw them which is a shame 😁
Hi! Thank you so much for the recommendation. I am so happy about my purchase. Unfortunately shipping is expensive here in Romania but it's okay. I will stick with this sketchbook for now and check out the other ones maybe next year after finishing this one
I haven't had a sketchbook in a really long time. I typically draw on anything I get my hands on. I do need to figure that out, but now, I use my Picasso. Before that, I used my galaxy Note 8. I'm more of a digital artist, now. I still want to try gauche. You make it look very appealing. I use to want to try water color, but I love how opaque gauche is.
I go back and forth between digital and traditional but i definitely preffer traditional and i have 3 sketchbooks going on right now 😂😂. I hope you try gouache. I personally really love it
I'm surprised moleskine is still popular. They aren't the real brand. Someone bought the name. They blow. I like the stillman and birns okay for watercolor. I like etchr more. Pilling and harder multiple washes were issues for my beta Also they dry way too fast. Coming from the paper you said, yes they are better, but there are others I prefer. Also also, copics on good marker paper should bleed like crazy. On absorbant paper you lose way too much ink and it doesn't sit on top like you want.
Oh I didn't know this about Moleskine. I really like this Stillman and birn sketchbook. I haven't tried etchr yet but thank you for the recommendation. I don't really use copics in my work but i see how bleeding through can be annoying
@@AncaPoraIllustration yes, annoying is the bleeding, but if you ever use copics, it's worth getting a small copic notebook to see how amazing they can be. Blending is amazing (but takes some elbow grease) , vibrancy is incredible, they are refillable, but it bleeds like no other. At least you know you aren't wasting it through absorbency. Cheers, love the channel and your work
I'm so glad you reviewed this sketchbook. I think it's going to be my next sketchbook purchase...as soon as I finish the ones I'm working on now! :)
It is a wonderful sketchbook. I think one of my favorites so far
Thank you for the review! This helps me in my decision!❤
I am so happy to hear that! the sketchbook is really good. One of my favorites so far 🥰

Thank you 🤗 It definitely is. I really love it

@@AncaPoraIllustration oh, you were the one who introduced gauche to me. It's because of you that I want to try it
Can i know how textured the paper is? Is it too much? Or perfect for guoache?
The texture is very minimal. It's more on the smooth side. It's perfect for.gouache in my opinion
Stilman and Bern are my favorite brand of sketchbook. I have tried a few of them now and I’ve always been happy.
Yes i definitely agree. Thank you gor watching! ❤️
I love your video's!
Thank you so so much ❤️❤️❤️
Excuse my ignorance, but could someone please tell me what the white pen used at the end with such great effect is ?
it is a paint pen from artistro. it's probably one of the most opaque white pens I have found out there :D
Nice review. Il cumpar acum 💌
Super! let me know how you like it :D
