I figured you'd make a comment about that. I agree about the trucks, but that's how the boss wants it. Second, speed isn't everything. Being smooth and not banging the machine means alot for production.
Hello, Great video. Don't pay attention to the nay sayers. The liebherr is the best machine out there. I would guess that the reason the machine looks poorly placed is because he just got up there. Once he gets himelf set up, he will be loading just fine. We load like this all the time. It takes a little time to get the upper lift situated then you can load just as fast. Thanks and keep them coming.
Thanks. That's a standard backhoe/ME configuration for the 9250
Awesome video. Id love to see more. Thanks for posting!
Quite the amazing the view Justin! Great work as always :)
Whatever mine owns that sure did make a good investment
@PAmining thank you
Are the controls on the larger mining excavators like this one the same as smaller machines, and what douse it take to become an operator for one of these??
Basically yes. Years of experience. A machine this size isn't what you start a first time operator out on. There's a lot you need to know when operating a mining excavator and it's not just how to run the machine.
keep up the great work, your videos are awesome!!!
@casecx700 From what I have seen they are, but you add a manual slew brake into the mix whereas in the smaller excavators (ie cat 320) the slew brake is automatically applied.
a hyd cylinders bore gives the area for force not the way its mounted they are mounted this way so you can reseal them easier as the eye unscrews off you can change gland seals but dont have to take apart the cylinder and unscrew the piston
Thanks.
Hydraulic excavator with backhoe attachment, backhoe, excavator, it doesnt matter. I have been on numerous jobs where guys refer to machines by different names. Some old timers will call draglines "shovels", I've heard articulated trucks called "wiggle wagons", some guys call front shovels "straight fronts", backhoes called "hoes", excavators called "loaders". Why is it your job to correct people on the proper name to call a machine?
Awesome video.
Kyle
Those are sun guards to block the glare on the operator, and no those don't really affect visibility.
Awesome machine! What size haul trucks was he loading.
No that's actually from the big drills working near it.
Different class machine, it's designed for power. I'm not 100% sure but I would imagine the design is to increase hoist power
whats with the slats on all the windows wouldn't that impeed visibility?
is that a new machine to replace the old demags
!!!!AWESOME!!!!
Very cool, is that a ME stick??? lol
Yes, replaced a 1986 Demag.
Is all of that background noise from the backhoe?
@ozzypartridge It's not the operator, it's managment who want the setup and trucks loaded like this...screwed up and in-efficient.
Looks pretty slow, and is he afraid of actually filling up the trucks?
y r they upside down for?
it looks weird with the upside down cilinders on the boom, some of the blokes i spoke to dont like these so much and prefer the komatsus or hitatchis
85 and 90 tonners. The Cat is 85, the Euc is 90.
$3.5 million dollars for a 9250.
Upside down? Are you blind because that's how almost all mass excavators have the boom cylinders setup. Every operator or company has a different opinion about a brand machine
If you are sooo clever, what is then teh real name, in your world?
a poor performance the operator can not fill the bucket he is sending the trucks away half loaded he has the machine set up wrong you should not be swinging 180 degrees
Poor performance by managment if you have to dig like that all day.
