Wonderful and beautiful X
She does it so well, I love it !!!!!!
As of now...my favorite Xmas tune!! :) Love ya Sara!!!
In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan,
earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow,
in the bleak midwinter, long ago.
Angels and archangels may have gathered there,
cherubim and seraphim thronged the air;
but his mother only, in her maiden bliss,
worshiped the beloved with a kiss.
What can I give him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
if I were a Wise Man, I would do my part;
yet what I can I give him: give my heart.
this will always be my favorite performance of ITBMW :)
I love you Sarah.. With all of my heart
🎵 When sheeeeeee loooved meee....🎵
She completely reinvented the song. Beautiful. But I also like the original melody.
There are TWO old melodies of this poem. The first was by Gustav Holst, which may be the one you're thinking of, since it is more famous; the second (and better, in my opinion) was a melody done three years later by Harold Darke, which is what Sarah is singing here.
@@anthonyz7000 I was super into learning that the melody i find more familiar that i prefer is by Holst. I love Holst. and the poem is by Christina Rossetti who was part of and friends with all these artists I like. I am more into the Holst version. But I like the Darke version too. Especially with MCGlock singing it. It is something that is also good!
Awesome! In the Bleak of Winter!
I just discovered this song a couple of days ago and I like it very much. I like the Susan Boyle version (the version that prompted my search for others) and I really like Sara's version. It is so beautiful in its simplicity. I love the guitar work.

In The Bleak Midwinter - poem by English poet Christina Rossetti and written in 1872. Music by English composer Gustav Holst. It’s beautiful isn’t it
I think the melody used here may be misattributed to Gustav Holtz. It’s probably closer to that written by English organist Harold Darke.
@@peterlohmar3182 100% correct. They're both beautiful, but I much prefer this, the Darke melody. Gives me goosebumps
linda voz, suave interprete, transmite el mensaje de sus letras con dulzura, me encanta escucharla mientras trabajo, en mi casa, en el auto....

Where did Sarah go?
To someplace she wanted I hope.
Que mulher maravilhosa
this is not the Gustav Holst version, it's based on the Richard Darke setting, but with Sarah's own take on it.
👍👍
PLEASE MENTION THE WRITER AND COMPOSER - WITHOUT THEM THERE WOULD BE NO SONG. THEY SHOULD BE ACKNOWLEDGED: In The Bleak Midwinter - poem by English poet Christina Rossetti and written in 1872. Music by English composer Gustav Holst. It’s beautiful isn’t it

this rendition is based on the Harold Darke setting of the poem, not the Gustav Holst setting.
Coño que Tremenda Cancion
It is beautiful but nothing compares to the Gustav Holst tune.
By order of the Peaky Blinders.
Sorry, she ripped the heart out of it and it really pisses me off because she has the perfect voice (which I ADORE) to sing the original
she used the Harold Darke setting, not the Holst setting.
There's a big difference between "artistic licence/interpretation " and trashing a song. What a travesty ,Sarah 😖
