You can tell that the interviewer is kind of emotional when he says that he will carry his memory of his interview with MJ forever.
Jamie starr. You are absolutely right. There was no rivalry between Prince and MJ. I have seen a lot of Prince's Coming to America and Australia concerts. In a lot of them he does MJ's " Don't stop till you get enough". Prince also did a rendition of his sister Janet's"What Have You Done For Me Lately". Prince also said in an interview with Chris Rock, he did not have any ill feelings towards MJ. All they have to do is look at Prince's concerts where he is paying tribute to MJ and his sister Janet. There is also another video where MJ was invited on stage by James Brown. MJ then told James Brown that Prince was in the audience and James Brown invited him on stage as well. If MJ hated Prince why would he acknowledged that he was in the audience and appear on the same stage as him.

I never did believe all the Pravda in the media about MJ and Prince being rivals because they both had their own style and sound and they both had huge respect for each other's art and creativity.
There were 2 occasions where Prince could have recorded something with MJ, but wasn't to be.
The first was Lionel Ritchie tried to get Prince to join in the We Are The World collaboration, but Prince wanted to have his own separate recording booth and it was just not happening at very short notice.
2nd time was MJ had intended to have Prince diet with him on the song, "Bad", but Prince wasn't keen on either of them singing the first line of the song, "Your butt is mine...." And decided to give it a miss.
They both had their own paths and it's no doubt that MJ is truly the GOAT of music and entertainment, but Prince as an artist is a legend too and I hope they are each resting easy up there in Heaven.

VeikkoVenemies i'm saying that after will dies, what's going to stop record executives from releasing unreleased songs? prince has no control over executives releasing unreleased material, neither did mj have control and neither does will.i.am when his time comes. he's better off destroying the masters if he does not want the songs to be heard.
Prince was a gift to our Universe that was needed. He far exceeded many in terms of creation and talent. Being a Medium and Psychic, I believe Prince did not want his life in our world to end. Not in the way Chris Cornell of sound garden chose by hanging himself. Obviously we all have a path and destiny and we cant stay in this world forever but this was an overdose with Prince. Accidental overdose. I felt Prince was staggering around sick and dizzy. He was spiraling and was in a state of panic attempting to look for help. Many who've used drugs or alcohol have reached a point of sickness where the body and blood have been poisoned. Many overcome this but many do not. Prince's body was not able to fight off the toxic levels of opioids ingested. More Love and Music to come from Prince in the decades aheads. Blessings

No, there actually exists a demo of Prince when he re-wrote the song "Bad" and played it all in his own style (every instrumental he did himself, like all his demo's and early work 😉) after he rejected MJ's collab offer on it. I'm seriously hoping it'll come out of the Paisley Park Vault some day 💜
