Thank you for the advice as I was quite annoyed on Saturday when I bought some Lilies mixed with red and white Roses from a supermarket. Now I thought I had checked beforehand buying them that the flowers were fine only too find when I got home that all the stems and the foliage were slimy. I did do what you showed on this video and even removed the Staimer from the Lilies but this morning they are all wilting. I had re-cut the stems and added warm sugar water too both vases but as you said about the bacteria maybe I shouldn't have.. My question is do remove the dead petals from the Lilies ? And should I remove a dead Lily head from the bunch? Also i have 4 heads that are not opening.Many thanks.
P.S it's getting quite bad over here in London as regards too supermarket bought cut and garden flowers, the staff are not caring or watering them.

Lilies are some very strong reproductive parts of the plant. Remove their pollen stains from plastic, etc. with Bleach spray and baking soda. Let it sit awhile.
