Striper are harder to track than bass , when i finaly tried fishing striper i felt bummed out because i couldn't target them especially out there its such a massive river kinda makes you second guess yourself about fishing stripers but now i just see it as just enjoying the chase and learning should be enjoyed not stressful like i first did when i couldn't track them.
I hope to fish in the Delta next summer for the first time. I have been airbrush painting lures for fun for a while and can't wait to see if they will catch fish.
Try pausing and varying the speed of your retrieve more. Maybe you are but from the video it seemed like a constant retrieve. Striper grab on the pause
What type of scale do you use? I used to fly fish for them and did much better with a sinking line and closer minnow. I am gear fishing now and seem to have a tougher time finding them. Good luck!
Usually swim baits work good in the shallows but I have caught them everywhere on everything. It’s mainly right place right time scenario. It will get better as it gets colder. Keep at em.
Stripers are tough, I fish for them more then I fish for bass and it's all about right place right time. That and knowing where the schools are, it's for sure a much more challenging game then bass fishing.
If you want to switch up sometimes a spoon is money if you fin them a little deeper on the chanel breaks. I always have a 3/4 or 1 oz tied on. Good luck
Yo steven from napa here me and Denis have been out 3 time in last two weeks put 36 in the boat ranging from 25lbs 10 15. You are so close Denis would pist if told you right where they were but your so close but go the other way

Try dipping your soft bait tails in chartreuse. Stripers love chartreuse.

Head to Sherman. Fall through spring it’s money.
Yes sir!
DUO Realis 120sp jerkbait ivory halo and bone white is the best sauce for striper. They hit majority of the time when u pause it for a couple second.
There a lucky craft most of the day without a sniff, just don’t think I was around them.

Sometimes I believe its location keep checking graph to find them. Good luck
It usually is!!! Been finding the bait, fish must just be right around the corner.

I feel your pain. It seems like when I go striper fishing it’s either feast or famine. Stay after it!
