I watched this video every few months. Whoever owns this account, God bless you for keeping this up.
It’s good remember these days. And this my favorite version of this song. And song is one of my all time favorites.

I like how Corin's voice blows out the camera.

corin's voice has such a beautiful metallic, bell-like, bird-like cadence to it here; especially towards the end when she says "never wanna stay-ay-ay-ay..."
more and more i'm coming to appreciate corin's chops on guitar. people rave about carrie (god knows i have), but corin is a different category of kickassawesome guitarist.
these three have sucha beautiful dynamic-- and whil ei hope each of the three continues to pursue a career in music, i have accepted the fact that s-k is no more.

i know what u mean. the good things riff is so bloody good. i always love the moments in some s-k songs (like thisn 1) where corin switches from playing single note riffs, to chords. same as start together and im not waiting.

And one last triple post, but since I don't have time for message boards the only place I talk music is youtube. 500 characters can't define what a great band Sleater-Kinney was and how much they meant to me growing up. I hope some day that they have the time want to make music together again, maybe even tour (& hopefully before they're dinosaurs ala the Who, and I'm 45 and not caring anymore). But if they're truly done for good , their impact on music is as great as any band the '90s saw...

@skiptracer62 i haven't seen/heard a live version of "don't talk like," and i'm not sure i've heard "a quarter to three" either. i've actually put it in my list of stuff to do-- creating a list of S-K songs i have neither seen nor heard live.

i h8 the character count. But what I was going to say was the other times I had seen them, their energy and enjoyment (right down to crowd banter) was much more prevalant. Even one of the other shows, after The Woods' initial release, they seemed to be having fun. At lolla they didn't. I remember seeing little Marshall walking around during soundcheck though lol. I believe a lot of it was just Corin wanting to focus on motherhood- rumors or not, it's kind of common sense- & bless her for that..

I wasn't at this show but was fortunate enough to see them a number of times over the years. I think I caught the last of their final 3 or 4 shows (lollapalooza..06? 07?). I believe they only played a handful of shows after that performance- maybe even 2 final shows? But for what it's worth, that lolla performance was the worst s-k show I had ever been to. In part because festivals kinda suck (I only went for them in knowing they were breaking up and it'd be my last chance to seem 'em live).
