Oh this is insanely good, the playing is fabulous, the performance immaculate & the conducting is inspiring.No wonder he was Mravinsky's right hand man, I have seriously underestimated thos conductor!

no ones reading of Tchaik 6 is as emotionally draining as Temirkanov's. Brilliant
I fell in love with the 6th many moons ago. I've cried, often, at the incredible sadness Tchaikovsky must have felt when these gorgeous melodies flowed from him. The first movement gets me started and I just cannot stop. I understand he never heard it performed. I'm speechless and mesmerized at its incredible beauty. It really was Tchaikovsky's parting gift to Life.

It is fascinating seeing Temirkhanov's moves. "Let it flow." Still, everyone seems to pick up precisely the tempo, there must have been intense work before he can conduct the orchestra like this...
I did sing under his baton: rehearsals yes but never harshness: music pours out so freely from him, you just have nothing to do, IT just happens.
