    Stumpjumper and SJ evo is probably the best value, best performing trail bike out there and the evo model is available as in framesets in metal or carbon. I hadn't bought a specialized since 1996 and tried one this year as a carbon frame on sale was $2200 with adjustable head angle, frame storage, and truly silent cable routing.

    There's one problem for me with the Vitus. Vitus is the F-word in finnish so it'd be rather weird riding around here with that written on my bike

    Just picked up a Canyon Neuron during their sale. Definitely considered the Spectrals but the Neuron came with the XT spec and carbon wheels for such a great price.

    Vitus is looking like my first future full sus, most bikes I've seen with a Pike select are closer to or over 5k and Vitus keeps it under 3k! Seemingly incredible value, smokes the Canyon spec wise at the same price

    for me the Vitus because of what you get for the price, I know external cabling but it's done right so frell I will av one of them & equipped with a set of those Atherton continental tyres, would love a canyon but toooo pricey.

    The Trek Fuel EX; my dream bike. Would be a hell of an upgrade going from a custom built Schwinn S29 to that trail beast.

    A recommendation, I would look at and review some of the American “boutique” and smaller company builds. Bikes companies like Revel and Spot. Their line-up is juicy!

      I mean, it's a commercial channel so product placement comes with the territory. Still lots of useful info but you have to understand how marketing works these days.

    I love my Orbea Occam!!!! It's my first trail bike (took Doddys video advice to heart) and it is all the bike I could wish for!!! 🙂 Did put a bigger stronger fork on it though... (RS Domain RC ;-) )

    There are a lot of great trail bikes out there but one of the first enduro trail bikes seems to always be missed on GMBN, the Norco Optic and the new Fluid kill in this field.

    A 65.5 head angle might seem steep? that was the norm for enduro bikes just a few years ago, so the big question is how slack is too slack? or are manufacturers just going to continue making their bikes slacker every few years until we end up with pinkbikes grim donut

      I think we might start deviding categories by HT angle instead of fork travel. Grim Donut definetely has all rights to exist, just not to be the model for every other bike

    Gotta say I would throw TR Spur in there. Blew my socks off, wish I could afford one. I know it’s sorta last year tho, just haven’t seen something I’d prefer more

    I´ve owned the vitus for a year now, I also own a 2022 commencal meta sx, and the vitus is just better, half the price, 90% of the performance, climbs great, descends great, it´s perfect.

      @@feedbackzaloop gotcha. I’m upgrading from a top fuel which is 120/120 so it’s a big difference for me. Most of what I ride the top fuel is perfect, so this gives me just a little more squish. And when I do get to travel to a park it can handle it, perhaps not quite as well as a longer travel but oh just the give and take balance of finding a do-it-all bike. Appreciate your feedback

    Next time you see a Yeti blow by you in the wild and you notice it's beautiful Kashima coated Switch Infinity Link shining in the sun. Think of it as a piece of suspension goodness that your non Yeti could never have. It's the Yetis nutsack just proudly swinging in the breeze.

      That way of thinking played a part in buying my bikes. I have a Whyte and an Identiti. In reviews my Whyte was very close to the Stump jumper Evo.

    the Atherton has such a short space for a dropper that you can't use a long dropper.. such an oversight. But with that in mind, I like the bike a lot.

    #ASKGMBNTECH I recently built a Vitus Sommet but the headset feels like it is stacked incorrectly. Maybe like I’m missing a spacer somewhere. Something is knocking In the front end 🤷🏼‍♂️ how is it meant to be assembled.

    Ofc again Atherton bike...
    The brand that looks likes it's made of waterpipes.
    Also they got their designs for bikes from Robot Bikes. So yeah never invented the way of building their bikes. It was another company that invented that.

    Not sure why they went with the Vitus Mythique and not the Escarpe which is much more similar to the other bikes they listed. I’ve got the Sommet and absolutely love it. No other bike comes close to hitting the specs for the price.

    Love the channel and everything but all these different categories of bike, trail, down country(that's the one I least understand) enduro, you people talk about, it's confusing, who's it all done for the custom of more like the industry. The categories have blurred lines that cross over each other and it makes it seem like people need at least three different bike's, which isn't a bad thing as long as you can afford it!!
    I come from a motocross background where everything is "What colour would sir want" so maybe I've just landed on my head one to many times😁..........or you could just get en EMTB.

    Trek Fuel or any Trek carbon bike: buyer beware! Trek is a company that prioritizes profits instead of making great bikes, as such their carbon frames are not designed with durability in mind and their warranty is nonsense in practice. At least this was my experience. And it's sad because I was a hardcore Trek fan.

    For me Trek with their proprietary components does not work (I SOLD MY TREKS). Also, the integrated handle / Stem for regular Joe not ideal for
    lack of adjustability. The SCOR looks very similar to San Cruz VPP suspension! I wonder if the ride is similar to the Santa Cruz ( i.e. Hightower). Canyon has become like Giant too main stream. I have to say the atherton is very sexy bike. It reminded me of Look and Colnago lugged tubing. Hands dow. The bike I will get. I also can not wait for ENVE to come out with a MTB the way they started production on road bikes.

    I hate TREK because they use QR in trail hardtail bikes!!!

      All brands use QR until certain price point, what's your point 🤷‍♂️ I hated one of my treks hardtails because of a 141 QR hub, still rode it till it was battered and beaten to pulp...loads of fun

    The welds on Vitus make me want to 🤮. It looks as cheap as it is. That’s not value, it’s simply getting what you pay for.

      I think that the value in the Trek is the same as the Stumpy Evo. There are so many ways you can change the bike around with flip chips, adjustable HA… that it can be a one bike for all trail riding needs. But yes it’s still expensive
