- Don Bozman's Great Great Northern Railway, construction started on this HO model train layout is the front of Don's Houston home in 1981. This is an operational layout and Don run sessions on a regualar basies. The railroad now operates on a NCE DCC radio controled system
To all my fellow LSR NMRA members this video is taking note of a great contributor to the hobby for a very long time.
Awesome video Art. Don is a nice guy and a superb model railroader
Don has a very classic layout, in very unusual rooms in his house. You have got to like the front door. Great control panel. The helix seems to keep the trains moving between the many different levels. Excellent tour. • Cheers from Michigan
Don is long time happy married man, and his wife is a big part of the railroad.

Great job. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
amazing setup. love that control panel.
That is an awsome model railroad. It must be fun to run trains on. Great video Arthur.
Really enjoyed this video.
Lovely railroad.
Thanks for this great layout tour, Arthur. An N scale layout from time to time, would be great too. I hope you consider this suggestion into the future. Cheers, John from Chile.
Great layout and great video , thanks
I like it. Doing something like that has been my dream
Regarding the Cascade tunnel on Stevens Pass in Washington state. The West end stays open all the time. The East end has a V16 power plant that provides electrical power to run the fans for blowing out the exhaust and putting clean air back into the tunnel. After a train enters the tunnel the door closes and the fans come on and do the job of clearing out the smoke. It takes about 35 minutes to get the job done. One can hear those fans running as U.S. highway 2 goes right over the East entrance. Just my comment here. OH who makes those GN hoppers? I worked for the Great Northern way back in 1966 out of Wenatchee.
Very nice railroad!!
Yes, the way it go from one side to the other. There are staged trains in the right side.

I wonder how hard it was for Don to get his wife's permission to build that huge layout and take over a lot of the rooms. Lol
Beautiful layout. Detail is incredible.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else is searching for building model railroad scenery try Panlarko Amazing Railroad Planner (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got cool results with it.
