guys wanna learn something? the Cala was actually Lamborghini's protoype. and the Nazca C2 was BMW's prototype. and from NFS 3 the schigera was Alfa Romeos prototype. pretty cool huh?

Never played SE unfortunately, but I own the regular Need for Speed 2. One of my favorite racing games!

They need to go back to the beginning, with exotics. I had enough of the ricers. Remember in the old games, they had the showcase; each car had a bio, pictures, stats, and a video. You could actually learn something by just clicking showcase. Good old days

Oh, the memories! This game was absolutely fantastic when I got if for my PS1 and it's still so fun to play today.
Best cars of any NFS game, imo. I mean, come on, Italdesign Cala, Nazca C2, Indigo, GT90, Commendatore 112i......
2:50 i like to see flames come from the exaust like on carbon of that bmw, as they play this song.

Yeah. I loved hearing the music from the videos. Brings back memeories :). Although, I really would've liked to have seen the videos.
I wish EA would start including the pictures, videos and narrations of each car used in the game like they used to. I used to get such a kick out of those.
@sonicadx it honestly doesnt bother me with this specific video.. it makes me think back on the memories and savor the nostalgic feel of the 90's raw PC games

The was no BMW in that game, WTF It was the Isdera Commendatore 112i. Damn dude did you even play the game? The GT90 song sounded like some White Zombie head stompin music, I like that.

i agree this was a very good NFS, i still like to play it from time to time, brings back good memories :) i even remember go43 is the t rex, i remember i used to play on outback with "go43" and "rushhour" on, that was insane as it was almost impossible to pass eachother.
Right now my good old NFSIISE doesnt work on my pc, i can only play on Mediterraneo.. it crashes on other tracks. have no clue why :/
Basically, it didn't go as fast as it was supposed to (does 60 mph sound fast?) and the project was abandoned. High costs were also a factor.
That classic, long live supercars.

it is to my knowledge that mclaren has designed yet another monolith in the exotic car scene....the mp4-12c...it's as dope as the f1....so dope they should include it on a new need for speed game....featuring other new exotic sports cars and electronic music like on nfs2,3 etc......

Yeah the music is soo nice.. this game doesn't even work for Windows XP unless you download alot to tools to convert it and yet such cool themes
the mclaren f1 was the best super car ever ( my opinion) it was so agresive and fast no like the pusy of the bugatty veyron

Yup NFS 1 and 2 were the best... then they took huge steps back... then a tiny one forward, but never getting back to the original excellence.
@Fussinated And just to say, The Bugatti Veyron, the EB110, Mclaren F1, SSC Ultimate Aero, the CCX, Ferrari F50 and Enzo, XJ220, Pagani Zonda, Porsche Carrera GT,the Audi R8, Ascari A10, Gumpert Apollo, the Isdera Commendatore, the Elise GT1, Ford GT, Lister Storm and some lambos (I honestly think they suck too but..)
all OWN all your asian "super cars". The only one I have some consideration with is the GTR which you already mentioned.

Apart from the obvious lack of variety, NFS Porsche 2000 was the pinical of the NFS series, it really when down hill after that...

My version of the game doesnt have a 355 or mach III, maybe its my copy, i dunno.
I have a terrible laptop and this is about all it plays, so im getting into the retro and this game rocks

When I think back of the time I played this game I was... definetely a sick no-lifer. I played this game like 3 hours a day on the age of 4 and played it for like 3 years. Just this game so fucking long..I love the MClaren soundtrack, together with the Ford GT90 and especially the Nazca :)
Someone needs to figure out the file format in which the cars are stored, and make some of their own models

I agree! But I think NFS 3 & 4 didn't have a good physics of the cars. They were a little bit cubbish - IMHO. I always played NFS II SE in the simulation mode. It was cool :-)

This is my favourite game ever!!! yes, i have Most wanted, Underground2 and carbon, but This is the ORIGINAL!!! the games that they are selling now are not like original NFS... they should make a retro game.
I agree with all the real fun gamers out there. these old nfs were the best. none of this slow tune up crap, i agree only kids now play the new n4s, just drive and have hours of fun not a crap poorly done production story line. but most wanted really did well for fun. I WANT THE FORD INDIGO, GT90 & XJ220! actually all these cars. the bonus hot rod was mad fun with traffic it was like a lil truck.

@HazewinDog The T-rex was very funny but there are some tracks you cant pass with the t-rex... north country i.e. the bridges and tunnels are too low

this is the best nfs ever made nfs can just change the graphics and add all the new supercars + the old ones and this is going to be the best game in the world
