I know they already had it in the last PTE but the fact that they’re implementing indoor weapon sounds to the game is huge. It helps so much when trying to locate enemies and is a nice quality of life update.
Played a few games on the test branch last night. I am pretty excited for the full release of the map. The combination of thick lush vegetation and the varying topography lends itself to a range of gameplay styles. The abundance of cover makes flanking a possibility on all capture points. The map feels different to any other map featured to date. I also noticed sound improvements as far as bullet cracks and whistles go.
Looks good. More trees, more sneaking around. Hürtgenwald blew me away. I spent a lot of time in the forest privately and with the Bundeswehr and there was never a map that came any closer to it.
My worry about this map is that is seems it will promote Bush Wookie's. They can just sit in a bush ten feet and you have no clue they are there. We'll have to see how it goes.
the two games that I played were literaly just this, the enemy team camped every bushes and waiting once the mid point was capture, it was fucking ridiculous
Hate the map, like seriously. All the points are surrounded by forests and/or field. Once a team captures the mid point, just camp the forests surrounding it and it's over. And no, it's not skill issue, I didn't maxed out Spotter for no reason, flanking, staying hidden and being patient is in my nature, but I just can't in this map, there's always a dude hidden in a bush just like Alpine in this video waiting for you and/or a MG that has a great line of sight over a large area because this map feels like it has cover, but it doesn't, it's even more open than El Alamein.
You can enter a few buildings scattered around the capture points. Given that not all modelling is complete, there may be room for more accessible buildings. Some textures are still missing and objects such as walls haven't had all their attributes set yet (you can't mount a machine gun on many walls you otherwise could on any other map) I'd say it's a little early to call. If you're a big fan of HLL download the test branch version and give it a go yourselves
What kind of dork spawn camps an HQ on a PTE server?
Our exact thoughts
The look reminds me of Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 from my high school days back in 2005. Loving it.

Love the look of this map - brings back memories of old SMDM!
I thought the same

It reminds me to my home landscape and I'm not even from France. Truly beautiful

Check out the new map all weekend in the PTE as well
Please tell me, which graphics settings do you use?
Great map for sniping with so much cover! Looks promising!
i wish they would add another axis nation so it’s not a 3v1 against germany
Agreed. We really need a new Axis team
the elevation variants across the map make it awesome. so much soft cover as well, wonder what it looks like with everything up at full.
Gates of Hell Liberation DLC looks great
Lmfao 🤣

You mean exactly how alpine plays? Sits in bushes every game?
Concealment is key. I don't understand why this would be a negative. Adaptive play styles is what it's about. Be sneaky and it will pay off
Lol you're playing the wrong game bro
umm thats how this game is played? you mostly camp
This map looks great for me as an anti tank main, I can imagine ambushing tanks from the bushes 😂
They should add a Reichstag map
I think they said they’ll be going in chronological order
Why they changed the reticle for the kar98k we will never know
Sad 😢
@@AlpineSniper old reticle was so much better too. At least the mosin still has it
Man I haven't played this in months >_
We shalll see IF it's any good.
It seems pretty, but buildings need to be accessible, otherwise it's just all for looks. That's not how it should be.
Do you play pc or a console ? I play console and always worried about running into you.
I was hoping for a new faction 🤷♂️
hey man, what settings do you play at pls?
When is it out on the servers?
i gave up on this game totally 12 months ago. is it worth attempting to come back?
Yes
I want pacific maps JP vs US!
Yo bro. Do you think the game is worth it? And nice sniping
Yes
Absolutely
Сделайте больше мяса и звуки попадания в корпус
Still trying to find you on a game. Just hoping I never meet you in the opposite team 😂

Seems very yellow and the buildings don’t seem realistic enough.
And you can’t get into any of them which is disappointing
@@AlpineSniper Oh boy, oh how is the LOD ?
@@T-Cup314I didn’t notice any glaring LOD problems, but still plenty of time for that lol
