Sounds beautiful from the very start, people cheering in the background, clapping, that housey melodic ditty.... rural Irish guy here just about to drive up the coast in County Clare in the west of Ireland Bit cloudy outside, nice swell building, the surfer's are either changing out of wetsuits or getting ready for their paddle out into 10 degree water temperature and 6 ft waves with 12 foot face's. What happened to the door of your cassette deck? And just wondering but did you record this from the output of a DJ mixer or from a computer with DJ.Studio or something?
These higher end decks have removalable doors.. much like a dust cover on a turntable : ) ..output is 100% Nakamichi deck to TDK SAX tape, recorded in 32 bit wav via RME converters ... NO A.I rubbish ever, I mix it all...
yeah a hair too warm at points but that's the magic of tape... When it comes to house I don't mind a little hot tape compression but in fairness I did forget that this tape type is best at little less!!! all good fun
The mix is good but can we dial back the names a bit? It drives me nuts when people label house music. It's house music, leave it at that. In Chicago as a house music DJ, we play everything with a 4/4 beat and call the style Chicago house. Plain and simple.

You're 100% right!! it's all just HOUSE sadly the internet is a confusing complicated place and without giving things a niche or definitive title they just got lost in the loop... You ask me what I play and I will say HOUSE, ALL NIGHT LONG : ) .. I'd rather label music then people anyway. What is sure, is that without Chicago, there ain't no house so big respect eternally to all those that showed us the way.... many have passed too soon! we need their musical wisdom more then ever... mixed by me recently but onto a real Nak and tape .. both actually more then 25 years old : )
