Hi darling mum of 4 here (all c sections) your milk doesn’t come in until day 3-6 so one nursing bra will be plenty just bring a few pairs of breast pads & nipple cream. Also if you go in wearing your coming home outfit it saves space in your bag having to bring it with you. Also bring some peppermint tea bags for after birth and stool softeners as you’ll be constipated & have trapped wind. Also your own pain killers in case you have to wait a while for the nurses to come round. Also you’re not allowed to wear contact lenses during surgery so personally I wouldn’t bother bringing them and just bring your glasses instead. Also if you double check on your baby’s sleep suits most of them have built in mittens. I personally find mittens useless as they or off all the time so I buy sleepsuits with them built in. See how you feel about the belly binder, from experience you either love it as it helps you feel supported or (like me) hate anything touching the incision and don’t use it until a few weeks post partly. Best of luck I hope it goes smooth for you x

Nice video! My guess is that the non-white pillow case is so it doesn’t get mixed up with the hospital’s pillows.

I was a medical induction back in August because of my babygirls size and then at 3:45am I delivered her via emergency c section because the pictocin they gave me was making her heart rate drop and I didn't have a birth plan or preferred delivery plan so it worked out really well and I will definitely be having a c section for my next baby in the next few years. I really liked having a c section and it was the best decision for me and my spouse and our daughter.

Girl you are so prepared! I just had my first baby in august last year and I was very over packed lol I bought everything Frida, but I honestly ended up liking the hospital stuff better (pads, ice packs, and peri bottle). I packed a cute going home outfit too, but I just walked out in my pajamas and I didn’t care at all!
As far as baby is concerned, I just had him wear a short sleeved onesie with no socks or beanie - it was SO HOT. Also, take the hospital baby blanket, diapers, wipes, or whatever else they give you!
If you plan on nursing, I had an easy time at first, but by three weeks I was scabbed and bleeding and I was wincing at every latch. I thought about quitting, but I’m so happy I worked through the pain - we just weaned this week and nursing was so amazing and rewarding and I’m so sad it’s over. Cherish every moment, even the rough times!
Best of luck to you! Motherhood looks amazing on you! ❤

When I read “socks and mittens” on the checklist, I was like “but it’s literally 100 degrees here” 😅
I heard that the hospital supplies basically everything you need, but you know me, gotta be extra 😂 I’ll be snagging whatever I can on the way home I’m sure! 🙈

Going to have my 3rd c section next year March Lord willing. Avoid all light coloured clothing for post partum to avoid it from being spoiled. With both my c sections I would be drenched in sweat and needed to change often. A boppy pillow for feeding. A small towel to roll up tightly and press against your incision when getting up helps a lot.

I'm happy for you that you can plan and prepare so well. Good luck with the whole procedure.
Many years back, my own c-section was rather unplanned. It was not an emergency, but almost 41 weeks pregnant my doctor told me 'by the way, tomorrow come to the hospital and the day after we do the c-section, so you will have a newborn.' so i went in, not prepared at all. I had to told my parents everything to bring i need 🙂
They only gonna keep you 2-3 days? My gosh, your are lucky 🙂In Germany they keep you 8 - 14 days in the hospital.

Also-the perineal ice packs are great to put on your incision because it’ll itch and burn a little bit. And make sure you have a pillow to press against your stomach when you cough, laugh, sneeze, and etc-even with a belly binder on 😅
And maybe tmi- but as long as your on top of your meds and stool softeners, the first poop isn’t too bad if you didn’t try to labor first 😂 I was terrified lol
With a c-section, you’ll have gas pool at the top of your shoulders, so I highly rec that you request the hospital grade heating pad that they should have there. It finally allowed me to sleep last time when I couldn’t get up and walk around as much.
    Good luck! ❤

Thank you! I had someone else mention bringing a heating pad as well in case the hospital doesn’t have one, so will do! And I just got a pillow for the car seat buckle but will definitely keep a pillow with me too 😊
