Close To Me (The Cure) from my 'Cover Your Ears' project. This is their Greatest Hits version, so had to learn how to play 'trumpet' and guitar at the same time.

I got the hand slap technique down from john mayer songs already but it's weirdly hard to play a bass note with the thumb and slap at the same time.
Hey Josh, I know what you mean, still find my bass string 'slap pluck' technique a bit hit and miss. Works best when I practice it rediculously slow. Thanks for the comment, good luck with it.

Hi Tom, thanks a lot, much appreciated. Filming a few tutorials is definitely on my to do list, hope to get around to it soon. In the meantime, I'd say practice technical parts or exercises very very slowly, even slower than you think. To arrange a song, slow the original song you want to cover down in Logic or similar. Take the song in sections, one instrument at a time. The inevitable boredom of playing so slowly will eventually be substituted with the joy of playing a section through without a mistake, then increasing the tempo. Best of luck to you.
