@@fancoutinho7044 Let's say Argentina, France, Brazil and England are in group A. Argentina needs to have more points than France, Brazil and England. Or, Argentina can be second place and have more points than England and France but less points than Brazil. Argentina and Brazil are first place and second place meaning they advance to the "round of 16" so after passing the group stage, you need to win at least 3 matches to make it to the finals. Which are Quarter finals, semi finals, finals. (There is also something called third place play-off).

Thanks For The Update! Are there any changes in the rules the game by FIFA for this World Cup? In regard to substitution, yellow and red card, knockout matches?
The thing I hate the most about the format of the World Cup is how the host is always seeded in Pot 1 for the group stage draw regardless of their strength. Group A in the 2018 edition was significantly weaker than the others (apart from Group H) and the same thing happened this year. Seed them using the FIFA rankings like the rest. I wouldn't mind temporarily adding 100 points to take home advantage into account.
@@snowmansportsmedia just noticed that most FIFA competitions do not have rankings for seeding (only senior men’s and women’s 11-a-side have official rankings). In that case, they should use the same last-five-editions formula they always use and award the hosts 5 extra points.
This is my first time watching you and you just got yourself a new subscriber. My question is what happend when you loose in a group stage ? do you still have a chance of winning world cup??
Yes, this is what happen to Argentina. They lose in the first match against Saudi Arabia. Then they won all match in that group after that (against Mexico and Poland). So they get 6 point out of 9 potential points (because they won 2 matches and lose 1) and top of their group. After that they won all of knock out round match and win the world cup again France in final. This scenario also happens to Spain in 2010. They lose first match in group stages and still won the world cup final against Netherlands. Sorry for my bad English. 🙏

There are 5 subs now instead of 3. Also per usual, if a player gets 2 yellow cards throughout the tournament they will be suspended for 1 game

I agree 100%! When the host is a nation that's lowly ranked like Qatar/South Africa/Korea, etc. they shouldn't be in pot 1

How does 0.5 teams qualify?
Because technically it could be 0 or 1, depending on how the intercontinental playoff shakes out
What is MP, GF, GA?
Matches Played, Goals For, Goals Against
