Since many people are asking how you should install dots, here are a few tips I can give: - If you are using hard pads, I'd recommend going for one skate per corner (and if possible, maybe an additional one at the bottom centre) - If you are using cloth pads, I'd recommend starting at one skate per outside corner. If you dig in too much (or even scrape), install an additional dot per corner The way you install dot skates is very much a subjective topic and completely depends on much pressure you put into the pad when tracking. More pressure + less skate surface area = more scraping
I've installed 8 dots on all my mice to minimize scraping, else I wouldn't have been able to survive, personally. I'll make a pinned comment about that topic in a bit!

I want to try different mouse skates, pads, mice, and don't know to go with the Jade's or the Gulong's skates. I am thinking of buying the Attackshark X3, because it's a cheap way to get into wireless gaming mice with a good sensor. I would like to know what soft mouse pad is a good recommendation since I am kind of getting tired of the hard surface on my Strider. Or should I try glass mousepads? 🤔 I am currently not trying to invest too much money YET, but any recommendation is appreciated!
(Mousepad)Vaxee PA is nice, more on the control side its around 40 euros (depends where you live) you also have the lgg saturn (control) or lgg venus (faster) they both have a "regular" version and a "pro" version that is a bit more premium, those are all around 40~45 bucks and they're really good, for mice on the budget side you have the VGN dragonfly f1 (comes with a "pro" and "moba" version with moba being the best) at around 40~45 bucks I believe, then the darmoshark m3 and m3s at around 40 to 50 euros, for a bit more premium experience you have the pulsar x2 and x2 mini (around 100 to 120 depending if you get the v2 or not) you have endgame gear too they have the xm2we and op1we for 80 and 85 euros (europe at least) and you obviously have lamzu with the atlantis, atlantis mini, maya, thorn All pretty good and they're around 100 to 120 bucks usually, then for mouse skates you can try the corepads pro for some slightly thicker and more control experience, you have the tiger ice v2 for a stupid fast glide (in my opinion too fast) then all the ones mentioned in the video.

The more you add the harder it gets to strafe. I asked chat gpt basically comparing skates that cover a large area vs dots. Although some mechanical engineer would provide an accurate result, it seems that with dots is easier to strafe using wrist but is harder to move left right based on what it said: Mouse A with 2 small skates on the front sides vs full surface: With smaller skates located on the front sides of the mouse, the contact area with the surface is limited. The smaller contact area means higher pressure exerted on the surface for the same force applied. According to the laws of friction, this could result in higher frictional forces. However, the limited contact area may also mean that it's easier to initiate and maintain lateral movement (strafing) because there's less resistance against the lateral motion. Mouse B with a skate that covers all front area: With a larger skate covering the entire front area, the contact area with the surface is greater. The larger contact area distributes the pressure more evenly, resulting in lower pressure exerted on the surface for the same force applied. This may reduce frictional forces compared to Mouse A. However, the larger contact area might make it slightly more difficult to initiate and maintain lateral movement (strafing) because there's more surface area in contact with the surface, which could increase resistance against lateral motion. Considering these factors, Mouse A with 2 small skates on the front sides might result in more effective strafing with the same energy spent. The limited contact area could make it easier to initiate and maintain lateral movement, despite potentially higher frictional forces due to the smaller contact area. However, the actual effectiveness would also depend on other factors such as the specific design and materials used for the mouse skates, the surface properties, and individual user preferences and techniques.
I don't know who gave you the impression that Ultraglides and Jades are the same but it's fake news, so please don't spread misinformation if you dont have them. Side by side they look completely diffrent, ultraglides are white white, jades milky white. The speed of the ultraglides are just size, they are all the same material, the fastest being the smallest dots. I got them all so i would know. They don't perform the same as Jades.

The ICE version is virtually the same as the Esports Tigers, just got them in yesterday. The normal purple/replacement feet from UltraGlide are the ones that are virtually the same as the Jades.
@@jakeufps Appreciated
Ultraglide Ice = Tiger Ice?
Ultraglide speed = jade
Ultraglide convencional = stock elim mouse How sora, lamzu, Thorn, Gwolves, Beast X etc?
Ultraglide Red = oblisidian?
@@parloca13 Ultraglide control is faster than tiger ice, i have no idea how are they even comparable
yo is the adhesive same for the xraypad and ultraglides? the ultraglides are much cheaper for me.
Everything about both of those skates seem virtually the same, including the adhesive
@@jakeufps Oo looks like i can try the obsidians/red version then. do you know which variant is the jades?
me chilling with sapphireskates
If I have no interest in putting on new skates should I go jade still or will they wear out over time
Kannst du mir eine Kurze Liste machen von Slow-Speed?
From slowest to fastest:
1. Tiger Ice V2 (personally can't recommend them, since they scratch more than all others here)
2. Ghostglides
3. Obsidian
4. Jade
X-raypad vs Esport Tiger ice v2 who better than?
There is no better, faster doesn't mean better. They both good quality that last over time. Also preference can vary based on your pad.
Between tigerIcev2 and xraypad which would you recommend more
Ah never mind I watched the full video 😂 I gonna go order my xraypad jade now
Ultraglide speed=xraypad jades?
Yes. Same skates. Get ultraglide because is more cheap.
So I am new to this world and would greatly appreciate some help from the community. I currently use a Viper Mini on a Razer Strider L mousepad.
(Mousepad)Vaxee PA is nice, more on the control side its around 40 euros (depends where you live) you also have the lgg saturn (control) or lgg venus (faster) they both have a "regular" version and a "pro" version that is a bit more premium, those are all around 40~45 bucks and they're really good, for mice on the budget side you have the VGN dragonfly f1 (comes with a "pro" and "moba" version with moba being the best) at around 40~45 bucks I believe, then the darmoshark m3 and m3s at around 40 to 50 euros, for a bit more premium experience you have the pulsar x2 and x2 mini (around 100 to 120 depending if you get the v2 or not) you have endgame gear too they have the xm2we and op1we for 80 and 85 euros (europe at least) and you obviously have lamzu with the atlantis, atlantis mini, maya, thorn
All pretty good and they're around 100 to 120 bucks usually, then for mouse skates you can try the corepads pro for some slightly thicker and more control experience, you have the tiger ice v2 for a stupid fast glide (in my opinion too fast) then all the ones mentioned in the video.
@@Daxter... I appreciate all the help. For someone who likes using a relaxed claw or finger tip, which mouse would you recommend out of the ones you've named. I would like to know about both the expensive ones and the cheap, thank you. I also heard good things about the Ninjutso Sora 4K.
@@AppySaid maybe the pulsar x2 mini would be good, the ninjutso sora 4k is more aimed towards claw grip users with the sides being slightly "curved" but the pulsar x2 has flater sides which in my opinion is a bit more comfortable for fingertip grip and can be used for claw grip with no issues
@@Daxter... Thanks!
Best skates for darmoshark m3s?
Corepads for pad skates, X-raypad Jades for dot skates
@@jakeufps alr thank you so much
Gulong or esptiger v2?
Discord says it's not a valid link :o
pericord.com there you go!
Whats the mousepad
Check the description, I always make sure it's mentioned
Quais são os dots originais que vem no Wl Beast X ? Aqueles pontos originais são muito bons. Bem melhores que os feet reservas Black.
Os feet Blancos vendidos a parte acabei de comprar pra testar
can you make video about applying dot skate? like how many of them are needed and also the positioning of skates
The more you add the harder it gets to strafe. I asked chat gpt basically comparing skates that cover a large area vs dots. Although some mechanical engineer would provide an accurate result, it seems that with dots is easier to strafe using wrist but is harder to move left right based on what it said:
Mouse A with 2 small skates on the front sides vs full surface:
With smaller skates located on the front sides of the mouse, the contact area with the surface is limited.
The smaller contact area means higher pressure exerted on the surface for the same force applied. According to the laws of friction, this could result in higher frictional forces.
However, the limited contact area may also mean that it's easier to initiate and maintain lateral movement (strafing) because there's less resistance against the lateral motion.
Mouse B with a skate that covers all front area:
With a larger skate covering the entire front area, the contact area with the surface is greater.
Anybody try corepad dot skates
Discord link is dead.
aliexpress dot skates review
xraypads are now 15€ per 40, a bit hard to swallow
I don't know who gave you the impression that Ultraglides and Jades are the same but it's fake news, so please don't spread misinformation if you dont have them. Side by side they look completely diffrent, ultraglides are white white, jades milky white. The speed of the ultraglides are just size, they are all the same material, the fastest being the smallest dots. I got them all so i would know. They don't perform the same as Jades.
What would you recommend me to use for my artisan Raiden soft? Using the OP1 8K !! Love the speed but trying to get some control back 🙂↕️
