Someone requested this, so... I'm not totally happy with the keyboard sound, but it's the nearest I could get. At least I got Sam the Rosy Bourke to help me out on it.
Loved it! This was the first Cocteau track I had ever heard back in 1986 when I was 16, and it was love at first listen. Never imagined those sounds had come from a guitar. You got me singing along. Kudos! Keep them coming!
Thanks! Yeah, this one sounds kind of empty without the vocals, but at least it can be used for karaoke. :-) It seems like Robin and Simon just left a lot of space in the track for Liz to work out in. I mean, the guitar just plays three notes in the entire song!
It was the first one for me too. But years later in 2007 on a compilation album called "The Brit Box", the first 2 CDs were great and this song I rated pretty highly....it followed The Smiths "How Soon Is Now" and the next two tracks were Felt's "Primitive Painters" (that Rob and Liz helped with) and Shop Assistants brilliant track "Somewhere In China", how better can you get than that for a compilation? It blew me away.
So nice it's like mixes of there song , for minimalists. Where one could practice singing the songs..Than you very much..we would like more lots more✨⭐👏👏👏
Yet again, amazing cover... My favourite Cocteau track, very inventive with the chimes, have you covered orange appled yet?... Now those chimes are really hard to master!
