  • In the video, a small bait ball of minnows forms around a large coral reef head. The bait seems to take cover near a ledge that is home to grouper, snapper, and blue runners.
I think it is very interesting to watch the predators attack and eat the bait. It is around 7:30 pm on the reef. When snorkeling we also see reef sharks, a sea turtle, and a school of large barracuda.

Thanks! Yeah, I was not sure other people would like this video. I could watch the school of bait swim around all day though!

Blue runners don't get a lot of respect, but they are hard fighting, beautiful fish in my experience.

Yeah, I always thought blue runners were cool. The fish in the video is what I always called a blue runner but I guess most people in Florida call it a bar jack or blue-striped cavalla. What people call a blue runner I call a hard nose jack.
