I met Roy Benavidez when riding around South Texas on my motorcycle. A personable, friendly guy who you felt immediately would give you all he had if you needed it. A better man I have not met in all my life.
I remember reading of the exploits of Roy Benevidez out of a Basic Training manual in 2004. The name has always been stuck in my head. A true hero and one of the hardest mf's to ever wear a US Army Uniform. Any time I've been faced with something I wasn't sure I would be able to handle, I would recall this man and his exploits. May the legend of this man never die!
I had an Uncle who fought in Korea with the R.C.H.R. (Black Watch) He came back from there a broken man. He had watched most of his unit killed some in Hand to Hand in their own Trench. I heard him tell me the story, of watching his childhood friend gutted beside him. I have never seen a documentary or mention of the even. He died years later after he told me what he had witnessed. If you can dig up the facts and do it in this channel, I would love it and know his story and other he served with was not forgotten. Thank you either way!

Better to be shot in the chest fighting than in the back running
man played the fucking bagpipes on a battlefield in ww2 💀💀
I think in most cases these men achieved an ascended state of consciousness during battle. This can be activated by a combination of adrenaline with the right emotional triggers. In this state, confidence is supreme, reflexes increase, strength and stamina are greatly improved and time slows down.
YES! Over an hour of simple history!!
“Please God Give Me One More”
what
ElaRoamMaince it’s an reference to this really weird but pretty family friendly legend
@@freshfrozen3035 he’s not weird literally the most bravest one out of all of them continuously heading into dangerous war zones without a weapon risking his life to save others having faith in nothing but god and his country single handedly saved countless lives in the process. Made the rest of these legends easier to believe, they saved the best story for last in this video.
@@SquooshyCatboy bruh-
"Roy Benavidez - The Guy Who Disagreed With Everyone" BULLIES: "Loser!" - Nope, he works to support family then enlists. SPECIALIST M.D.: "Never walk again." - Walks again. ARMY: "Just a desk job." - As if! Makes the Green Berets. EVERYONE: "No-one can save those guys now." - Who needs a gun? Saves 8 of his buds. BASE DOC: " He's dead" - He spits in Doc's face. DOC: "I think he'll make it" - FINALLY someone Roy could agree with!
I'm related
the fact he's the 1st person mentioned surprises me.
fact is most people didn't know his story until the very early 2000s when they realeased his GI Joe action figure
they need to make a movie
Simple history is very underrated and they publish true videos about people that would keep me up because I am so invested in the stories so thank you simple history.
This episode compilation was very awesome, Simple History!!
"Come and fight a ghurka." No, I don't think I will.
**Shivers With Fear**
Some of the videos on his channel actually helped me get an A on my history test. And they said I procrastinate too much
Real-life is more amazing than fiction.
*gets shot in the leg*
"oh damn I must've hit my leg on a thorn bush"
Your voice was so good for telling the stories . you're doing really great! Simple History! 😉
The Dream Team

Mad Jack - The guy whose passionate in the weird ways
Gurung - The really intense guy
Baggett - The "Ayo watch this shot" guy
Leo - The nice guy with a hair trigger
Bader - The guy who just can't help but show off
Lauri - That guy who survived too many game sessions.
Bush - That guy whose game session got weird.
Osborn - The guy who dies first.
Doss - The guy who's going to save that guy who died and no one's going to stop him.
Ryan Lorenzo I agree
All great heroes with great stories. A lot of movie content here too.
Southern Gentleman true
i see you are a fellow confederate
‘Don’t tread on us’ they will regret the day they burned our towns
Matthew Soileau but still a unionist
Southern Gentleman People often misinterpret Southern pride with racism or anti patriotism, which is pretty simple minded. Confederate flags represent the South and their freedom, not Racist Union haters
ONE HOUR COMPILATION!!! AMAZING
These type of videos are far better than many movies. I can watch these kind of videos all year non-stop :)
There’s a reason why they are the greatest generation. Thank you for your service 🇺🇸.
It's sad to know that there are people who pretend they fought and risked there lives just so they can get discounts

Dude your bag is full of Arrow
I'm sure it's a mistake by the animator lmao
guys you really outdone yourself, a classic imo, and a salute to some great men
Imagine all of them on one team. The enemy would see them and be like
“I want to apologise” lol
Hey this sounds like the enemy team on call of duty.
Im so happy if people like this have like 4 kids. Spread those survivor genes!
Desmond doss is the person that I look up to
Well great
Amazing video! Really puts life into perspective, I'm so grateful to be with my family every night.
During quarantine my RUclips algorithm went insane and im glad because of awesome stuff like this! Thanks to all veterans and hopefully things feel better soon as far as life goes for those of us affected by Covid and world affairs... anyway ❤️ ✌️ 😷
I met Roy Benavidez when riding around South Texas on my motorcycle. A personable, friendly guy who you felt immediately would give you all he had if you needed it. A better man I have not met in all my life.
That last guy, medic. He deserve a lot more than a medal. Guy was a hero who saved hundreds of soldiers and being injured never stop doing his duty.
"Above all else, do no harm."
This is old but
*TOP 10 characters that can defeat Thanos (even with the infinity gauntlet)
Old but Gold.
Shrek dies in infinity war (very sad)
I remember reading of the exploits of Roy Benevidez out of a Basic Training manual in 2004. The name has always been stuck in my head. A true hero and one of the hardest mf's to ever wear a US Army Uniform. Any time I've been faced with something I wasn't sure I would be able to handle, I would recall this man and his exploits. May the legend of this man never die!
My dad was a Green Beret, this makes me proud of what he's done
These are great to watch when your stoned makes th whole experience seem like your with them.
29:30 he is wearing sneakers in a war what a goat
Celina Garcia dress to impress even will in battle, lol!
Do you have any idea how unfitting military boots are?
You said it GOAT he didn't get the Victoria cross because he's from Quebec
Moral of Roy’s story never tell someone they can’t do something
I had an Uncle who fought in Korea with the R.C.H.R. (Black Watch) He came back from there a broken man. He had watched most of his unit killed some in Hand to Hand in their own Trench. I heard him tell me the story, of watching his childhood friend gutted beside him. I have never seen a documentary or mention of the even. He died years later after he told me what he had witnessed.
If you can dig up the facts and do it in this channel, I would love it and know his story and other he served with was not forgotten.
Thank you either way!
Benavidez: **gets hit by a train**
Benavidez: keeps walking
