@@Lilverde Ah! An actual response! Thank you, the comment makes complete sense now :v
24:24 Flushed Away is computer animated because 1) it has a lot of water in it, and water is the hardest thing to animate in stop motion, and 2) shortly after Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit came out, there was a huge fire at the studio, which destroyed most of the priceless models from Aardman’s past projects.
Also the water would have damaged the material they use for the models
Apparently one of the few things that survived in the fire was Feathers McGraw, the crime penguin.
That's so sad :c
omg seriously?? I knew the water thing, im an animation fan I knew that water, hair and skin are like the worst pains to animate, that I know, but the fire in the studio?? thats so sad :(
@@tornadodee148 yeah, they lost a lot of models but for a coincidence the original Wallace and Gromit models weren't in the studio but in another locations
As a kid, I remember thinking Rita using "the master cable" as a belt was so cool. I'd try things that looked and connected like it around my waist all the time after I watched this 😂😅
The title: For the furries
Intro: I like this movie as a child
Conclusion: She's a furry since she was little
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
What's the matter, you don't like Furries😏? When I saw the title, I thought it was either saying it in a bad way(most likely) or good way. Whatever negative stereotype/stigma you know, it's not even half as bad. Furries are actually really nice, accepting and creative people who like making art of anthropomorphic animals. A small portion make unsavory artwork (they tend to be more of the outcasts). The Furry groups has been making A LOT of effort to make sure it's friendly for all, no racism, no sexual artwork/outfits (except in the privacy of the home for those few out there), etc. This is getting kinda long so I'll stop now😅. Just know, they are mostly good people who just like making art and cosplaying as characters ☺️.
good logical reasoning to be fair

Wow, they actually have a cockroach reading's Kafka's Metamorphosis ( 12:58), and the boy rat is wearing a bubonic plague t shirt (12:29). What a bop.
Isn’t metamorphosis about a beetle? Or am I confused?
@@katiekate2999 yeah, but you'd be more likely to find a cockroach in a sewer; I don't think it's meant as a direct metaphor, more like a pun or an easter egg for the adults watching to make it more fun
@@evakoshkaa ahhh ye ye totally get it, just was confused for a second as I was sure it was about a boy turning into a beetle. It’s a fun little reference either way
I remember watching a "making of" of this movie and what I recall is that they *wanted* to animate it in stop motion like Wallace & Gromit but the water was an obstacle to animate that way, so they did it in 3d cgi but trying to make it look as "stop motion" as they could, and I think they did a really good job on that aspect tbh
CHILDHOOD CLASSIC i love this movie sm
Not gonna lie Flushed away was a comfort movie for a while for me during middle school and I don’t even know why, it just was. 😆
I'm glad somebody else was obsessed with Lonely by akon as a child
A bop to this DAY
I remember laughing when I first heard it on the radio XD
Funny story, when I was younger I used to think that song was made by the people who made flushed away for the movie and I felt so betrayed when I found out it wasn’t....my heart was hurt 😪
The fly going "help me" sounds way to similar to the bug in Emporer's New Groove
What you might not know is that that was a reference to The Fly... the one from the 50s with our late lord and savior Vincent Price
Spiky the shorter rat henchmen is voiced by Andy Serkis (Gollum, ect) and the big white one is voiced by Bil Nighy (Davy Jones PoC, ect) The second time watching this film as an adult I was so confused as to who all these familiar sounding voices were, I didn't even know Hugh Jackman when I was a child. Or no I did know, because I watched X-men, but I didn't connect the dots
woah! so this movie basically had all the top-tier actors haha
There is a movie just like "Flushed Away" with mice living their homes and the city in London. The name of the movie is "The Great Mouse Detective." Also a good one.
I remember that film as a kid! I always loved it but I didn’t have a way to watch it until Disney plus lol
This was a super great movie
"Pentatonix looks a little different here" almost made me spray water across my room lmfaoo
Here’s a movie that you’d be interested in seeing, the original Land Before Time. Before the musical sequels.
First movie to make me cry as a kid.
yes this!!
Oh my god, I remember that movie. I used to have a Little Foot plush
This movie was my childhood I can't wait to see your reaction/hear your opinion
Thanks for reacting to all these animated classics! I feel like early 2000’s animated movies are so dismissed and have been forgotten (Atlantis and Treasure Planet are like Disney’s red headed step children), but they were all basically my childhood and I love them so much 💕💖💕
The smart-skinny/dumb-fat duo is not only prevalent in rats but a common trope in cartoon characters in general. Mostly in henchmen to the villain.
6:27- "WHUT are yew DEWING in mah SWAAAMP?!" 😂 (I can't not think of that when I hear Kate Winslet say this line)
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING ABHSJSJHWH
As a British fan, don’t worry, your accent wasn’t bad - sounds like a friend of mine 😂
Here to back this up
lol
Dreamworks 2D animations is where it's at. Prince of the Egypt was a hit in my religious childhood, and is still very, very good and with BEAUTIFUL imagery, so many frames could be framed (hehe) and hanged in a wall, and it's pretty funny at times. I recommend
OMG I was finna comment about the Prince of Egypt😭😭The soundtrack is still a BOP TO THIS DAY😤Ofra Haza did what she needed to do when it came to her vocals😭🤧
I had such a big crush on Roddy when I was younger.......DON’T JUDGE ME😂

If you want my email, I'll comment it. Then I'll delete it.
I don't even know if you want to talk about it at all, I wouldn't mind because it was a big part at one time of my young life. 😃 An interesting time, too! Let me know!
Lmfaooooo, that comment about roddy packing💀💀
hahahaha I ROFLed too I dont care if the comment was meant to be ironic or not its just muah! chefs kiss XD
Can we just say that Sophia is a mood 24/7
I know it was a joke but Hugh Jackman did a LOT of musical theatre in Australia, that's where he was first scouted.
And he used to be a gym teacher too lol funny where life takes you
Flushed away was the funniest shit as a kid I would piss myself with laughter it was unreal-
Wait a minute let me get this straight....Hugh Jackman, who played as Wolverine, the easter bunny from rise of the guardians and P.T. Barnum from the greatest showman, is the voice actor of Roddy?!?!?! I-I-I-I-I-I- irbfjrbdjeb 👁👄👁
that was me when I found out that
Robert Downy Junior did Sherlock Holmes.
Here's a fun fact! Aardman animations, the studio that made this movie, is a stop motion studio and makes the wallace and gromit films. Flushed away was its first (and only i think?) 3d animated movie because their studio burned down and couldnt make stop motion animations for a while.
Fun fact:This is the last film that Dreamworks and Aardman both worked together
R.I.P. that studio team was the best
"England is winning" YES IT'S A DIG! We barely ever win anything, we barely get to semi final
Omg ... red box, that feels like such a long time ago. Those were the good ol days
I still see them in my town!! I don't know how considering no one rents physical movies anymore LOL
We still have RedBoxes in my state? LOL.
I *CANNOT* tell you enough how obsessed my brother and I were with this movie! We used to watch it all the time, brought it on road trips to go along with all the other top tier movies we'd select 😂 I.e: Shrek, Sharktales, Cars and other great picks of the like 👌🏻
The one scene that's burned into my memory tho is Rita's grandmother howling at Roddy "I love you Tom Jones"❤️ 😂😂
Edit- Fixed a spelling error in Roddy's name 😅
I like underrated and underdog movies that aren't popular as more mainstream Disney and Pixar movies , Rescuers Down Under ,The Iron Giant,All Dogs Go to Heaven are my favorites .
I remember when they used to show this movie on Cartoon Network, I always tried to catch it every time it was on TV!
I remember having some McDonald’s toys from this movie. I had Rita, The Toad, and Le Frog. They were pretty cool to play with lol
Omg yes!! I remember Rita’s belt had stickers
Ma *QUEEN* is back with another upload ❤️
The humor in the movie is more “British Humor” in some cases. It may not be for everyone. I find it hilarious.
HOW COULD YOU COMPARE THE SLUGS TO THE MINIONS?! I LOVE THE SLUGS, THEY CARRIED THIS MOVIE!!!
Best movie of the 2000’s that I’m pretty sure everyone born in the late 90’s, early 2000’s will always remember.

1) yup, accent was butchered but I found it more funny tbh 😆
2) British people generally aren't too fussed about Prince Charles, we've kinda made a meme that cuz he's so old he'll likely die before the queen (I.e. he'll never be king)
3) Indeed, fish and chips are 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 but they can get sickening if you eat them too often
Spike and that friend of his are my favourite characters❤ especially at the end with the champagne bottle. They're just the best comedic duo
lol, you tweeted about the thumbnail, but I didn't think it was going to be something like this.
Nice 😂
I loved this movie as a kid (it was one of the first movies I watched in full) and my family loved it as well. Not as funny as I remembered for sure, but at least my family had a good time and we still quote this movie sometimes (we used to quote "that is not rice, that is maggots you're eating" a lot)
That intro lmao
Talk about it girl, my hair feels like that japanese painting of those big blue waves, so annoying, why can't hair just, obey me?
Doing my hair is my least favorite part of getting ready because there's a huge chance of it just not turning out the way I want it to 😩

for me the slugs were definitely one of the best parts of this movie ;D
So we not going to talk about that Roddy packing comment😳
Lol my kids are literally watching this movie right now. I still find this movie funny.
NGL I used to always have nightmares about being flushed down the toilet as a kid. I've no idea why, but the very thought of it always *terrified* me. This film helped me get over my stupid paranoia! Although the scene when Roddy gets flushed made me uncomfortable
So uuh, this may not be a fun fact but I'm fairly certain the reason flushed away was CG was because Aardman studios who made Wallace and gromit and also chicken run, basically had a warehouse full of all their models and shit that burned down, so they made this a CG movie to save money for something?
I read on the wiki that it's because it was hard to do stop motion water and having the water CGI while everything else be stop motion would've been too expensive. So they just opted to do the whole thing CGI! If I remember correctly
@@SophiaPhannn That sounds true enough! I didnt read the wiki I just remember when the Aardman warehouse burned down and Flushed Away was their next film. Thanks for the lovely video :)
A movie you might like to watch is The Dark Crystal, it reminds me of Labyrinth in a lot of ways. Love this channel!
I love Aarmand animations. Their movies are my childhood
If you are taking suggestions: I'd love to see you side-eyeing Pocahontas.
Gosh I LOVE the music in Pocahontas, but it makes me feel so guilty because the plot 🤢🤮
20:00 the amount of serotonin this excitement gave me!!
Man, i remember watching this movie in DVD, loving it, rewatching it several times in my childhood, and getting all the songs stuck in my head, singing along with the movie. I feel your decepointment. The songs are very fitting for the moments tho.
You're forgetting about pinky and the brain, there's a rat duo that breaks the status quo. Small, non obese rat (with a huge head though) that's an actual genius and a tall thin rat that is emotionally smart and borderline psychic
WE 👏 STAN 👏 FLUSHED 👏 AWAY 👏
you do not know how many times we watched this is primary. I can basically recite this film by heart. a classic tho if you ask me
My childhood. My mom was my dance teacher, and I would constantly listen to the end song Proud Mary by Tina Turner. She noticed I loved the song and make a choreography for my class for the song.
Aardman and Dreamworks had a 5 picture deal together and this was one of them (however they never made all five) so that's why you see the references to Wallace and Gromit, the film was animated by Aardman. If you do want to see peak Aardman from the same era Chicken Run has aged much better then Flushed Away, although I do remember enjoying Flushed Away when it came out, just never got nostalgic about it.
Your hair is cute no matter what
Flushed Away was done in cgi based on Aardvark's stop motion Claymation style from their earlier films. It has been a long time since I've seen this film. Looking at it now it looks like the lighting needs to be a bit brighter and not so heavy on the shading. Just my opinion.
Someone earlier mentioned Disney's The Great Mouse Detective. Definitely a movie you should react to. You should also check out Aardvark's Chicken Run. That film was created in stop motion and has entertaining characters and a good story.
My favorite joke that I always remembered was the French frogs surrendering
I literally watched this movie WAY too much as a kid lol maybe because my cousin and I were a little obsessed...
Ngl that hair looks like a very stylized anime/manga look, super sick, glad the movie was fun to this day it gives us many memes
ahhhh this movie is such a gemmmm 💎

WAIT it’s Hugh Jackman in the original?!😳
flushed away is my #1 comfort movieeee. My mom told me that I was obsessed with it, and when my sister purposely scratched the DVD I started sobbing💀
also the fact that the EMOJI MOVIE did better at the box office than Flushed Away PISSES. ME. OFF.
I remember the time I watched it until my little brother decided to just replay it over and over again until it scratched and ruined! (We have to get another one and keep it to MYSELF!)
When I was a kid I love this movie. Like I bought the dvd and stuff lol. I thought it was pretty good. Ive always watch this movie multiple time haha. I was surprise when there are people who hate this movie

This movie was the first ratatouille! Although, both movies hold a number one spot in my heart in the rat category.
My last name is Malone and I still get excited when I hear it mentioned in this movie 😂
"Is this the glorious amphibian dawn dad?"
"Anything for you my little man."
"Can I have a pony?"
"No"
"A puppy?"
"We'll talk about it"
"Can we talk about it now?"
"Can I have a puppy?"
"I want a puppy too!"
"Daddy can't I?"
"incessant chattering of how ever many toad tadpoles there were (I lost count of the jars - seriously how can one toad have that many offsprings?!?!?)"
"No! You can't all have puppies! Please, Daddy's working!"
This movie is one of my family's favorite movies!
My cousins and I always quote it!
U know u have a problems when you crush on a frog and a rat 🤟
Fun Fact: Till this day, no joke ever since I saw the promos for this movie as a child and even worse after I watched the movie, I have always have very horrifying nightmares about the slugs.
Sid pulled an “outsmarting your outsmarting” on roddy. And yes, jojo’s reference
For me personally this movie is still just as good as I remembered. I'm kinda bummed there aren't many people reacting to it.
Having Hugh Jackman Kate Winslett and Ian McKillin in the same movie is just awesome. Flushed Away is an underrated classic.
I literally have this movie on my flashdrive and it has ALWAYS been one of my favorites!!
Well technically in The Great Mouse Detective the only rat that was shown was ratigan but he still couldn't compare to basil of Baker Street
Flushed Away is such a jam.
U just unlocked a childhood memory
I've always hated the "fat stupid" troupe a lot of cartoon characters have. That and they're always eating, super dumb and annoying.
Dreamworks movie recommendations: Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron, Road to El Dorado, Megamind, Rise of the Guardians, Croods 1&2, all the How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda, and Abominable. All incredible soundtrack, fabulous actors and actresses, and the artwork is phenomenal
I loved Flushed away and thought It was absolutely hilarious, I've watched it too many times to count and Hugh Jackman is my favorite actor of all time
The Gromit easter egg was there because Flushed Away was made in partnership with Aardman, the studio that does Wallace and Gromit. I thought DreamWorks tried to be a little too shreky with it though. I still prefer Chicken Run.
This movie is another one of my top favorite animated family movies.
I'm not sure if someone has already said this, so forgive me if it's redundant, but the reason the CGI looks weird is not because the technology is bad, but rather they purposefully tried to make it look like stop motion animation (like Wallace and Gromit) which has been Aardman's trademark style since the early 90's. Shawn the Sheep (a children's series they're still making today) looks the same way.
The thumbnail has me dead😂👏
When i found out this was on netflix i watched it at least 7 times in one week.
Then netflix decided to remove it
I've actually never watched this. So here I am here with you
