Excellent video. I was leaning towards competitor #1's rotator but this video made me rethink the issue. Clearly the MP Rotator appears better built and engineered. I wish more companies put out comparison test like this to highlight differences. You did a great job demonstrating the MP Rotator has a more uniform perimeter edge but you didn't discuss the differences in the distribution of water within the area being watered. While it's hard to find, the MP Rotator has a DU(LQ) of 71% ( www.hunterindustries.com/site-study/mp-rotator-efficiency-goes-unmatched-usage-test ) vs 79% for the Rain Bird equivalent distance R17-24. It also looked like you used a R17-24 in this video but turned the distance down to the lowest range of 17' and not so sure how that affects the edge distribution pattern you showed. I wish companies made it a lot easier to find Distribution Uniformity specs for their products. For example, I have searched but can't find any information about the Hunter PGP line DU. What is the DU for the PGP Adj and the PGP Ultra?
I wish you'd do a similar test like this with various manufacturer's rotors. I find the Hunter PGP's I've used to be very durable but I believe I prefer the Rain Curtain spray pattern of the 5004. It would be nice to see these and others comparison tested.
I've been using the MPR rotors for quite a while and I find them very good. Especially the 1000 (90-210) and 2000 (90-210) They are excellent! I tried the Rainbird's new Rotor, it takes more water and it doesn't look very elegant! I do use the MPR's on 1804 pop ups. For larger areas I prefer the RB 5004 plus as opposed to the 3000 MPR. I used the Hunter PGP's and they are good too, I just like the shut off feature from Rainbird and their rain curtain spray nozzles
thinking about converting all my old nozzle to these rotators. I have a sidewalk lawn that is about 5ft by 20ft. Which spray nozzle would work? I don't want to be watering the sidewalk. All of your nozzle spray at 8ft+?
The mp rotator is one of the best nozzles in my opinion.
I got the hunter pr spray with the hunter mp2000 90-210 it works awesome.

I have installed MPs in over 100 psi dirty water and have had them in for 7 years

This irrigation nozzle is the best along with the Hunter pro spray

Can Hunter MP Rotators be used on a Toro 570 Series?
Hunter Industries in my r
Yeah just get the male thread version
For the surge test. For competitor 2 did not use the body it came with. And makes it an unfair test.
1
PRO Gaming Roblox & more! They had the same threading
I have more rotadors with hunter pro sprays
The reason the mid efficiency nozzle has runoff is because they used the prs40 sprayhead when they should have used the prs30
