That was a long project for me, lots of rewriting of lyrics and translation. This song was VERY HARD to translate because there were many references that can't really be translated in English, and the usage of writing was unconventional to say the least, so point out any mistakes (I'm not native Japanese). Example include "悪政国", which stands for a tyranny country. I don't know if the word refers to Japan government (which the song also critiques) or "tyrannical" countries
Hey bro, if you open my channel there are some videos of Adolf Hitler's political life and I'd like to put some political lives or stetegies about war. I'd like to ask you if you could recommend any movies or documentaries that are about in the history of the Japanese War, then I'd like to ask you if I could use some of your music uploaded as a background in my videos, always if you want I don't want to use them without your permission, rightly I'll put your channel link. Thanks
@@lastoriadellaguerra8040 Yes go ahead and use the musics. also, I'm interested in Japanese imperial military history so I may be able to help too if you have any questions. I recommend letters from Iwo Jima, sea without end, oba the last samurai. The Korean movie "My way" is quite action packed (very fun to watch, not much boring dialogue) and has a fairly lengthy section dedicated to life under Imperial Japan and being in IJA
@@ivan5595 Being patriotic is not "right wing". This is literally just a traditional type of Japanese song and sentiment. . And you are pushing stupid concepts that didn't even exist in Japan.
The description is kinda funny since Japan's corporatism was directly contradictory to the US "free market" style capitalism. War reformists got their last wishes through when the occupation government got rid of the land owners and created what we now known as the East Asian model. Ofcourse Koizumi unwinded all that...
Overly simplified but still... "They did not have to wait very long. General MacArthur volunteered to implement these socialist policies, employing all the force of an occupation power. He purged the capitalist class, the zaibatsu families..." "However, a full-blown reallocation of landowner-ship had remained impossible during the war. The U.S. occupation did the job for them by reallocating landownership to the tenant farmers. The postwar land reform almost completely wiped out the pre-1945 landlord class."
this was really a great job! But why do you call it right wing song? It's a patriotic song. And really timeless. Could be written in the 30s and also now. If left or right there is only pro or against the nation in this regard. Make Japan great again!
The reason js becouse the movement of Shōwa restoration which is meantioned is radical right wing militarist since that was literally the original movement of Kodoha. It isn’t full restoration of power to the emperor but revere him and praise him more while military has true power and acts in the supreme interests of the emperor. Shōwa (Hirohito) didnt even support the movement preferring the semi democracy that was the imperial diet.
The original version had worse quality, and I don't know if the lyrics are same as this version. This version was too slow and I've sped it up as to make it sound better.

There's something about the music of Imperial Japan and modern Japanese nationals that connect to me on a deep and personal level.
Wow, the music and lyrics is so Japanese in essence. I'm loving it.
It's chuunibyo as fuck but it's awesome
ivan, your translation work is good, your effort to bring us this content is appreciated

Sounds like Showa Restoration Song
Although written in 1969 It ‘s realy like a gunka song
Lots of Japanese patriotic songs, especially those written by right wing groups are like that

It is a right wing song. Left wings hate Japan.
