Thank you so much! I've worn glasses for 35 years and have never had a pair that sat straight. I've had them "professionally" adjusted and they still weren't straight. I just thought "Oh well, I guess if I want to see I've just got to go through life looking ridiculous". Now I wear progressives and couldn't see well. I tried your adjustment example and now I don't look ridiculous AND I can see better!
Excellent!! I’m so happy you found this video and it helped you! Be sure to share it with others so we can get everyone squared up 😎. With progressives alignment is very critical!!
That's a tougher call, you can go either what's more aesthetically pleasing to you, in these cases depending on the lenses that needs taken into account when making the glasses, so do be a bit cautious here on going too far. Typically we'll align with the brow and adjust the lenses for the unlevel eyes and when applicable use prism to shift the eye image to appear more level 🙃
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 I ended up going in the middle where I leveled it out a little bit, but not so far as to make one eye way too low in the lens. If you look close you can see it’s unlevel, but just at a glance not so much because my whole face (brow included) is a couple millimeters off and the glasses fit right in
And today, once again my glasses place broke my glasses trying to adjust them. They had to put my lenses into a pair from the display case until my frames come back. My face is so crooked and I never noticed it until I got glasses! Either my nose is sore or my ears are sore, or the one side touches my eyebrows and lashes, or they are just falling off my face. I tried contacts and prayed my eyes would adjust and they just didn't. I've tried different pads and things behind my ears and even a double pad on my nose piece recommended by technician. One eye sits back further, and is higher, my ear on that side is lower and my face thinner. My glasses are NEVER straight. I have headaches weekly, sometimes daily for weeks on end. They cringe when I walk in for adjustments. 😔 I've even asked if I could order them with a stem longer on one side and they told me I just need the new with nose pads, so I get them with nose pads. Now they literally have one side, on the nose pad bent almost straight back trying to keep that lens off my eyebrow so the stem wraps my ear. It barely touches my ear now. I hate to get them adjusted and one of the techs told me I'm just being difficult. I literally started to cry. And told her i'm not trying to be difficult, I just want to see. 😢 This is the 3 eyeglass place I've been to for exams and ordering. If I could afford to fly to you, I would. I've watched your videos and tried myself to no avail. Just ordered a new pair, very light weight, thin frame titanium (per their recommendation, and I don't even like how they look on me) and I'm already praying I won't have as many issues this time. My struggle is daily. I'm even afraid to clean them for fear of messing them up when they aren't bothering me, which isn't often. 🥺 Thank you for the videos!! Hopefully they help others.

How well would you say opticians are trained? I’ve been to few places locally and been discouraged from returning because of inappropriate or not enough adjustments, recommended frames that were uncomfortable no matter how many adjustments… hence trying to learn online
Oh my goodness I wish I had a better answer for you, but the training varies so wildly!!! Not only the training can be an issue, but doctors or corporations hiring any warm body to work under their license with minimal training make the problem even worse.
