Oh hey, I think this version of the song is the XBLA/TGS 2006 demo main theme? It was found in the files of that XBLA demo (and was infamous by fans since the XBLA demo isn't officially available anymore so fans dubbed it the "lost instrumental version").
Oh wow, we never really get a peak behind the curtain when it comes to SEGA's sound production. It's cool hearing everything in midi form before they recorded live instruments. That guitar is definitely live and to me, the "mic" bump sounds like they unplugged the amp jack from the guitar at the end or something

I really think this version of the song should've of been in the title screen of the game and on the menu, it really fits well with the game honestly.
