This was my first hike in the 2020 season in Norway. I have been inspired by Kraig Adams and the idea was to bring only one camera and lens for the trip and be minimalist with my gear. The hike was still very snowy yet gorgeous, and I highly recommend the Besseggen hike in Norway to anyone.
I started from Bessheim which is not the typical place to start from and that is why I got the extra kilometers. The regular Besseggen hike is roughly 15 kilometers and takes 6-9 hours. You are allowed to camp anywhere in the area and I highly recommend that for the best experience possible. Bring enough water, food, and supplies as the elevation gain is 1080 meters and it's easy to get dehydrated. The best time to visit Jotunheimen National Park in Norway, and do the Besseggen hike is between June and September.

I was supposed to go on a trip like this in Norway next month but of course it was cancelled, this is the next best thing right now. Beautiful footage as always and the effort put into making this is appreciated. Looking forward to getting out there next year and taking some pictures!

Hi, Joel! Quite interesting video and beautiful places. I’d like to do hiking myself too. I see that tickets cost not that much but what about complete gear to not suffer much? Can you tell me please how expensive it was?
Thank you Ilya! Definitely go for it if you have the opportunity. The most important is proper shoes/boots, shell jacket and a backpack that fits the extras you need and won't hurt your back. Buy used and it will be affordable way to get quality.

Don`t chase the reindeer with your drone.
Did you apply for a drone permit? As far as I know most national parks in Norway don't allow drone flying without applying for a compesation from the rules.
Going by the book now that it's quite strictly regulated. Also cannot fly anywhere without having taken the license.
Good video, but Joel you are not allowed to use the drone on national parks, specially where the animals and biome are fragile. You have also to register at flydrone.no and have insurance called ansvarsforsikring.
