Today, I would not take on this project as the costs have gone down on all the box goggles. I did a VR006 to monitor conversion video and that is WAY better and cheaper than this project... ruclips.net/video/wZKT9E8JkHM/видео.html
These video receivers are very hard to find now. Most people just buy the combined monitor with built-in receiver. But here is one you can try. You'll have to cut off the end of the cable to get to the wires inside as it's intended for that controller. Or you can find another cable that will fit (sorry, I have no idea where to get that specific cable, you're on your own). The wiring diagram is shown on a photo on that product page. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dmg4jFB
Christian stalker! 😂. Seriously though, if you make it to my first post that's stalker status lol. Actually that's why I made my profile pic universal on all media, since I have different account names.
Hey great video!!! My one question is how did you synch channels? After you turned the screen/receiver on...How did the receiver know what channel or signal to pick up? I'm so confused with how all that works. Any feedback would be great thanks.
The receiver is like your TV. You pick the channel and it tunes to it. Obviously you pick the same channel that your transmitter is broadcasting on so you get video (otherwise all you see is static).
wow - i'm impressed with not only the mod, but the prices of these things. i do have 2 questions... 1) since this is meant for inside the car... i was wondering how well it works outdoors? i like the flat-low-gloss screen that seems quite non-reflective. but what about out in the daylight? 2) i don't suppose there's a tripod mount for this? I guess that one could be modded on. whoops, 3 questions... i noted that the screen (because it's a backing up cam) - is reversed!!! are you able to change this!!!??? thanks, Russ from Coral Springs, Fl, usa
If you want to see video of this outside see my other video about 20 seconds into it... ruclips.net/video/aQ8DcoEjWKA/видео.html I have already upgraded this setup to a 7 inch LCD and will be posting a new video about this soon. I don't think the image on the screen is reversed... again, see my other video link above. You'll see the text is normal on the screen. The 4.3 inch screen is cheap but I really needed something bigger and got a 7 inch LCD for about $30 on Ebay... again, video on that coming soon....
Great video and info, dude! I have one question, how is the signal coverage of this fpv 200mw receivers and transmitters? I want to put one on my rc bait boat and I'm curious if I see something if my boat is at 200-250m away. Many thanks!
Is there a way to connect the camera directly to the monitor without using a tx/rx? I just happen to have one of those monitors and a cheap Eachine fpv camera.
I am sorry but ı dont get it. I have Eachine TX03 and ı want to do micro drone. if ı buy monitor, battery and the receiver, do ı have to buy anything else? Is it works?
Will these instructions work with the 7 inch tft no blue monitors as well? I know you did a few videos on them but they use the big "external" receivers.
Hi, how well does the ER32 work with 2s battery? The description says that the input voltage is 7-24 volt, and 2s battery can went down well under 7 volt. Thank you
You may want to check out this 7-inch monitor/DVR/FPV setup instead... goo.gl/gvSWvd Doesn't cost that much more and it's all in one nice package. I reviewed it in this video ruclips.net/video/P7A6fKBtbXM/видео.html
Hi Albert - thanks for doing this. Could you dropbox the raw file? I need to slow down the time lapse so I can see more clearly which wire you're soldering where. I'm new to electronics and FPV and don't know yet how to figure out which wire goes where, etc. between the monitor and the receiver.
Thanks, Albert. I used a downloader to take the video from RUclips then took select screenshots at points that were critical to me. Thanks for producing this very helpful how-to!
bought one of these, didnt turned on. had to replace the entire power supply on that board. now im taking 3-15V in, transforming it into 18V for the led backlight and transform this back to 3.3V for the logic board. image quality is pretty good, latency is definately better than a android shitphone with usb video grabber
Hey man I dropped my cycplose goggles and cracked the screen. Now I now how to replace the screen. I just need to know if this will work with my quanum cycplose goggles. Does it have the male ribbon cable needed to install in my Goggle's? Thank you.
pleas what is the ling of the video transmitter at the back and also what range can i get before drop off also how doo i found the snow screen firmware monitor.
sir you send me a fpv moniter link but i dont need that...i wants to know which transmitter and camera that u used in this system because the video clarity is awesome so plz try to remember and tell me....thank u
It's for a second video input on this and the channels are more than likely named AV purely because that's the standard naming scheme rather than taking into consideration that it lacks audio capabilities.
hey ive been going into your older video i came a cross thus video ...i dont have money for fpv google but ..i got a vr google for u phone ..but i got lcd screen....im all done just need to add fpv u just showed me now ...thank u
Anyone got a link on those thumbnail sized diy micro receivers. The super tiny ones you solder your own channel jumpers and antenna on. Can't find them anywhere. Or maybe using the wrong search terms. I got one of those cheap fpv single eye monocle things and I'm trying to integrate a battery and receiver.
+George y you need the FPV cable. If yours did not come with one you'll have to buy an aftermarket one. Note, there will be latency in the video signal
That usually means its not getting a video signal. Check all your connections. Also check that your receiver is on the correct channel to receive video.
If your transmitter is sending just black then it means it has nothing to transmit. Check that the camera is connected correctly and that the camera is working.
Hello can i ask what is the range of the video transmitter and also what is the best firmware snow or black. i will like to ask what is a snow firmware and a black firmware also i built a min quad using banggood 800TVL 4.3mm 1/3 Cmos Lens FPV Mini Camera 3.3-5V PAL will this sink to my camera.
hello i am using FX758-2 5.8G 200mW 32CH FPV Wireless Audio Video AV Transmitter Module I read a comment where as a it say how do i get rid of the cut off screen and you replie " you need to update to a snow firmware so i was lost.
Albert Kim do i need this to built for long range or will the reciever you have used will work fine Eachine RC840 RC832 5.8G 40CH Raceband Wireless FPV Receiver Module

That would have been a pretty good trick even trying to use those supplied RCA cables, since BOTH (from the LCD and from the Receiver) were Females!! You didn't point that out!
Would love to see an update on what components you would use now, since its two years later. Great content Albert!

Thanks Albert! I have a set of those already as well!
Albert Kim
Do you have a FPV monitor buyers guide? Would be cool to see some with various features like DVR, HDMI in, audio, etc.
sweet, very nice, would have been cool to see the receiver built inside the monitor case
Daniel Willets can't change channels:(
You gave me the idea to change my monitor connected to a Boscam receiver. Thank you.
Hey, here’s the video I was talking about. Thanks btw for actually taking the time to read my comment

Very good result.Thank you. Already did this mod and it works very good. Regards from the Netherlands.
you could put this in for example a ritech 3 to make fpv goggles under 20 dollars
I bookmarked that vRX after your last video on it. One of my projects is to mod my Fatshark Base goggles and make them wireless.
very cool!
+Nathan Knight hey there bud, I know you on Instagram. lol Not stalking I promise. (@bulgieman)
Christian stalker! 😂. Seriously though, if you make it to my first post that's stalker status lol. Actually that's why I made my profile pic universal on all media, since I have different account names.
Albert, this was a great video. Will this set up work with the 7" screen in your updated video? Thanks!! Keep the content coming!
This video is outdated. FPV monitors with all the bells and whistles are so much cheaper now, doing this project is kinda moot.
It may be cheap, however these are the ones that go bluescreen when they lose a little signal - not without it's downsides but get what you pay for.
KillR! Nice and cheap lil deal Kim awesome bub!!!
Would you be able to use the 3.5mm plug to connect to an easy cap device simultaneously?
blue screen or snow?
wow - i'm impressed with not only the mod, but the prices of these things. i do have 2 questions...

Couldn't you have put the pcb and battery inside the display's enclosure? Then you could have drilled a hole for the antenna.
Not enough room in the case for that.
Great video and info, dude! I have one question, how is the signal coverage of this fpv 200mw receivers and transmitters? I want to put one on my rc bait boat and I'm curious if I see something if my boat is at 200-250m away. Many thanks!
Simple waw, what is the antenna with the name of the device for the monitor that is made in the car Create a parking area
Is there a way to connect the camera directly to the monitor without using a tx/rx? I just happen to have one of those monitors and a cheap Eachine fpv camera.
Yes, just connect the video out from the camera to the video in of the monitor.
Hey, great idea. Do you know if the monitor blue screens on signal loss or just goes to snow?
This monitor is super cheap and goes to a black screen so you should get a monitor that goes to show instead.
+Albert Kim (marblekit) Thanks. Was just thinking about having it as an external for others to see what's going on.
I use mine as a spare for others to view. Black screens aren't a problem in this case as the blips are very brief.
I bought a simular display and connected it to a 9v batterie and a reciever but it would only blink on an off
Very clever!! Link to buy!
what type of mini camera did you use and haw did you pair/connect it to the receiver so that it would show up on the monitor? thanks!
Just ordered this screen and the rest of the needed equipment, looking forward to trying it out. Great video!
+Jonas Olsen thanks!
+Albert Kim (marblekit) Can you tell me what kind of battery you used on this?
+Jonas Olsen 2s 300mah
+Albert Kim (marblekit) Do you think there is room for putting the receiver on the inside of the casing? :o
+Jonas Olsen maybe... Would be very tight. Did you get the same LCD?
I am sorry but ı dont get it. I have Eachine TX03 and ı want to do micro drone. if ı buy monitor, battery and the receiver, do ı have to buy anything else? Is it works?
dude i love this idea i have been looking for receivers and i can find any
Will these instructions work with the 7 inch tft no blue monitors as well? I know you did a few videos on them but they use the big "external" receivers.
Assuming you can find the correct connections to solder the signal wires to it should also work on any LCD monitor.
Gotcha thanks!
Can you make the ER32 inside the screen? Maybe even with the battery?
+Pj F I don't think there is enough room inside.
Hi, how well does the ER32 work with 2s battery? The description says that the input voltage is 7-24 volt, and 2s battery can went down well under 7 volt. Thank you
I haven't tested it. I would stick with 3S to be safe in case the voltage drops too low and it turns off. That would be bad while flying....
Can you get 1 kilometer range with this?
when using the 2.5 jack did you find the inside of the barrel plug negative or positive? or did you use the barrel plugs?
I didn't use the plugs
Did i can using ts5828 and then,i use fpv monitor built in receiver, will it work?
Hi. Nice vid. I will build one thanks for the idea. I have a question. With adding the dvr, the black screen no signal disappear??
You may want to check out this 7-inch monitor/DVR/FPV setup instead... goo.gl/gvSWvd Doesn't cost that much more and it's all in one nice package. I reviewed it in this video ruclips.net/video/P7A6fKBtbXM/видео.html
what is the white material that is on the transmitter antenna at the intersection of the spiral?
Some kind of hot glue to keep everything together in case of a hit.
What was the affective range with this receiver?
Hi Albert - thanks for doing this. Could you dropbox the raw file? I need to slow down the time lapse so I can see more clearly which wire you're soldering where. I'm new to electronics and FPV and don't know yet how to figure out which wire goes where, etc. between the monitor and the receiver.
+DeepSixDave hi. I don't have the raw video files anymore. At what time in the video do you need more detail?
Thanks, Albert. I used a downloader to take the video from RUclips then took select screenshots at points that were critical to me. Thanks for producing this very helpful how-to!
which type of battery you used and how many volts currents u supplied
I think it was a small 2S lipo. 7.4v
Hi Albert! Nice work :) Cheers bro! ✌️
Thanks for the visit
What's the range
bought one of these, didnt turned on. had to replace the entire power supply on that board. now im taking 3-15V in, transforming it into 18V for the led backlight and transform this back to 3.3V for the logic board. image quality is pretty good, latency is definately better than a android shitphone with usb video grabber
Sir,
Can i ran satellite receiver in this tft led?
do you think most of those will work on 7.4v even though they are made for 12v ?
it might but I never tested it. I have since given this away.
I love this! Well done.
thank you!
have you founf any other micro recievers like this one that tun on 1s? or does the whole system run on 2s as a requirement?
I have not found any that run on 1S.
Brillant. well done thamks
+Peter Anderson link is in the description. Range depends on strength of transmitter. No firmware for the screen that i know of.
delay and blue screen ?
This video is outdated. I recommend just buying a VR006 and converting it into a monitor... a lot cheaper - ruclips.net/video/wZKT9E8JkHM/видео.html
What about the audio to hear my drone...
Good job, thanks
Hello sir, good idea for a cheap fpv, bdw which transmitter u used in this system...?
I don't remember. This was over a year ago. I would get this instead today - goo.gl/ejThUx
sir you send me a fpv moniter link but i dont need that...i wants to know which transmitter and camera that u used in this system because the video clarity is awesome so plz try to remember and tell me....thank u
You amazing uve made myife so much easier
Hello sir Does this lcd monitor comes with inbuilt speaker....?
no
So why there are a extra white wire....? And also why it named as audio video(a/v) can u tell me plz
It's for a second video input on this and the channels are more than likely named AV purely because that's the standard naming scheme rather than taking into consideration that it lacks audio capabilities.
Great work
I can mod this monitor to use it for consolse, stick-pc( mini-pc ) and a normal pc?
I'm not sure. It takes only analog input as far as I know.
Albert Kim thx for your answer man! Peace ;)
hey ive been going into your older video i came a cross thus video ...i dont have money for fpv google but ..i got a vr google for u phone ..but i got lcd screen....im all done just need to add fpv u just showed me now ...thank u
Is it possible to take the yellow RCA cable to connect it? Because inside it I got two cable.
I think that's that the RCA jacks are for, but I decided to not use them.
Thank's a lot I'll try
Oh! But inside it I got a positive and negative cable, where I weld them?
It should be marked. Yours has no markings?
Yeah! thank's a lot, I finaly did it and work so good!
Anyone got a link on those thumbnail sized diy micro receivers. The super tiny ones you solder your own channel jumpers and antenna on. Can't find them anywhere.
Or maybe using the wrong search terms.

nice job
can i use it with Eachine ET25R or Eachine ET200 transmitter ??
Yes
Did you know if i can connect a action camera like sj4000 to eachine ET200 transmitter ?
+George y you need the FPV cable. If yours did not come with one you'll have to buy an aftermarket one. Note, there will be latency in the video signal
i was thinking about buy one of this cabel s.aliexpress.com/z6f6jquE
and connect it to the transmitter
did you have any idea if it will work??
That one looks like it might work. I've never used it so cant say for sure. For $1 worth a try!
Is that battery 12v?
+Frank R. Pilot I think so
What is that wire that came with the eachine called ? Can I buy it separately
+PinEmVin which wire? At what time in the video did you see it?
+Albert Kim (marblekit) the one with 6 wires, you took 4 off and only used 2. Saw it at 1:10
+PinEmVin yes, that cable is included.
I'm not sure if you can buy it separately. it's a 1.0mm pitch.
+Albert Kim (marblekit) I have a monitor and it's powered by that wire, I'm trying to figure out how to use a 12+ volt lipo to power it
hello
i followed the steps but the lcd doesn't turn on ......it just blinking :-(
That usually means its not getting a video signal. Check all your connections. Also check that your receiver is on the correct channel to receive video.
I think that my transmitter doesn't work because when i turn it on the screen stop blinking and became black
Do you agree with me?
If your transmitter is sending just black then it means it has nothing to transmit. Check that the camera is connected correctly and that the camera is working.
what's max distance you can receive vid
Max distance depends on the transmitter, not the receiver. 600mW can probably go 4-5 miles.
ok I'm trying to make a target camera for shooting long range so I can spot my hits on paper but I have no clue what to buy or where to even start
For something that close 25mW will be good enough assuming no RF interference in the area. 200mW would be good enough as well.
+Zippna4 you mean receiver? Which transmitter are you asking about? Theres no firmware for the LCD that i know of
hello i am using FX758-2 5.8G 200mW 32CH FPV Wireless Audio Video AV Transmitter Module
I read a comment where as a it say how do i get rid of the cut off screen and you replie " you need to update to a snow firmware so i was lost.
Albert Kim what range can this get me please cheer?
Albert Kim do i need this to built for long range or will the reciever you have used will work fine
Eachine RC840 RC832 5.8G 40CH Raceband Wireless FPV Receiver Module
+Zippna4 i dont know about firmware, sorry. That transmitter on 200mW will get you about 1000m range
Is there lag?
+vassilis Thegreek none
Albert Kim really? Thats awsome
I really wish it was that easy
How do you connect it to the camera?
+Miles Crowe camera is connected to a video transmitter and it sends the video wirelessly to the receiver which is connected to the monitor.
can some body hijack my video monitor because it uses wireless?
+Peter Anderson whatever your transmitting is freely accessible to anyone who knows what frequency to tune to. If you want privacy you have to encrypt the video signal. That is way beyond the scope of this video
You should change your channel name to albert einstein
I got a completely wireless monitor with channel select for 25 dollars.
PunakiviAddikti where?
Lol this is proof we overpay for fpv goggles
please make it on android phone
+Ariqkamil Nugroho DVR to Android phone?
+Albert Kim (marblekit) make fpv system (5.8ghz) to android phone
That is not possibe.
You could use an easycap but the lag will make it impossible to fly without risk of a crash
That would have been a pretty good trick even trying to use those supplied RCA cables, since BOTH (from the LCD and from the Receiver) were Females!! You didn't point that out!
That's why I didn't use them.
NO and nobody else should like it either because nothing was PROVEN to be working.
Is there any fix to minimalize black screan when flying?
You need to get a monitor that has the snow screen firmware and not the black screen firmware.
Albert Kim can you recommend a cheap screen with snowscreen? I find man lcds on ebay but they doesnt say if its black or snowscreen.
Can i use different modules on this?
what kind of modules?
Albert Kim fatshark module...true d?
You should change your channel name to albert einstein
