I like how IBO went very medieval with their more physical-based weaponry since beams aren't effective against mobile suits in their AU, and that the OST itself reflects that.
Or that Mika in many ways resembles a samurai warrior. Or that swords are very ineffective against armor unless a pilot knows how to use them just like irl. I love that show partially because of all these details.

I don't watch the Animes, unfortunately. But I do play the games!! And I am currently burning through Gundam Versus. Mika is in there and DAMN!! From what I am seeing from him so far, he is very calm, calculated, throughout, fearless, and very skilled. His character in the game is just awesome! I'm guessing the same goes for the anime obviously. The games are basically a mirror to the Anime series. It's just something that it's pretty obvious to me. But Mika's character is truly ethical. This game isn't even dubbed lol. And there are no subtitles ( WTF!!)! So I don't understand anything he says. I really wish I could though lol. Overall, awesome game with a GREAT character.

They had to do Mika dirty in order to beat him, and even still he took out several more guys. The Barbatos isn't even super op like others, Mikazuki is just a beast.

@@mossutan1275 I don't remember the Barbatos taking significant damage other than in the final battle with Ein in season 1, the battle against the mobile armor, and at the end. He did have one moment in which his machine was outperformed by Gaelio's breifly in season 1 and he needed a detachable armor for round 2, but he still didn't take much damage still. I'm going to rewatch it though in a few months for a fresh viewing for my podcast. Still, this music slaps and I'm glad to be listening to it. Cheers to the Gundam franchise and its fantastic music🍺

Like Naze telling Orga to never lost himself or they will all die or McGillis saying he needed a piece to move and Gaulio thinking he meant Kudelia when he meant Tekkadan. Those hints are in less than 10 eps into season 1 that is crazyyy
I've heard aldnoah zero is similar but I wouldn't know cuz I haven't watched it yet. The closest thing I can think of is Valkyria Chronicles 3 but that is a game.

Mika is such a great character and probably one of my all-time favorites, believe it or not. I honestly wasn't satisfied with the ending, but I understand the reasoning behind it and that people other than me enjoyed it. Regardless, I've gotta accept it, and I'm just glad everything happened and that we got the battles we got bc Mika is the true definition of badass.
Me personally? I didn't have a problem with the ending per se - it was just how we got to it that bothered me. I'm of the mind that IBO really fell apart once they took Jasley out.
I mean I was salty that they were so damn close to their end goal only for shit to go South due to some bad timing and dirty tactics by Gallahorn, but the odds will catch up eventually. They got through astronomical odds before and Mikazuchi's one target he failed to terminate being what unraveled everything is only fitting The only thing I lament is that the chuds at Gallahorn largely got off scot free for those atrocities. Sure they got some human rights stuff passed, but it being accepted/passed by Gallahorn is just twisting a knife in my open wound

For as effective a Char as he was during the first season, everything around McGillis just went out with a whimper to me =\.

If you said so, you need to add gundam 00 to your watchlist. Unique mobile suit system, a story filled with political interest and iconic soundtrack. Even I love 00 and IBO more than other gundam series, they had heavy story writing and at some point their story portrayed real life global problem

Normally I prefer electric guitars and heavy metal solos for Gundam OSTs but this is just fantastic. The perfect track to use throughout the series from Ep1 to the finale.
