Hey Dave, after watching a lot of Dumb Money Live and lurking the discord I learned a lot over the months about spotting trends and connecting that to the market. I haven't made a HCT report, but I just did a video on what's happening in the crypto market. Users are waitlisted and some have been waiting months just to convert their money into crypto as well as a couple of other interesting factors. Thanks for all the education!

i see KSS has a $25 pair of pelazzo pants (athflow talk for expensive sweatpants), which seems to be a pretty competitive price, but the real traffic seems to go through AMZN, ETSY and PINS. one of the first articles i read linked to an ANF ad, but that company is basically a dumpster fire, so that biscuit aint worth the risk-it. Idk who'd get into athflow and really be able to push the needle on their stock. LULU and NKE for sure, but i can't seeing it getting the clout it would need to really set off a reasonable gain in value.

Neon - Brainstorming here - Think your too late on laptops. It is hard to find a high end "Gaming" computer without lighting. But I could see potential crossover from the PC space in "lighting" hubs that control the lighting in a PC. How close is actual neon to RGB lighting. For the bedroom lighting/house atmosphere space I would keep my eye out for custom RBG kits from the computer lighting makers (NZXT,Alitove etc) that have programmable hubs that control the lighting colors and patterns. Also look at the "Rave" niche for potential crossover they love lights light gloves , light whits/wands etc.
Great ideas. If only apple would make the logo light up on MacBooks again... in customizable neon colors!

Appreciate it Matt! I can confirm that I am indeed using a green screen for these videos. I'm standing right at my Dumb Money desk set actually! Seemed like a good way to give these videos a new look without having to move multiple lights, camera, tripod, mic boom stand and all and have to re-assemble everything for the next live show. Plus my open floorpan house is so echo-y I like to set up sound blankets for audio... THAT's why I made so few videos last year.
So fascinating, I do freelance video editing and graphic design and I've seen myself gravitating more and more to synth rhythms, lofi, video game music, bright contrasting colors... honestly this overall comfort and 80s come back, which can also be seen in RUclipsrs' and gamers set ups looking exactly like the movie theater in the mall used to look like, plus the whole Pokemon, Gamestop... all roads lead to Nintendo I think. I've been working on a high conviction report for the Dumb Money on Nintendo that I've been too lazy to finish (yikes) but comfort makes me think of cross-platform gaming (device to phone, tv to device...) which Nintendo is in the lead and 80s... I mean there's nothing more 80s than Nintendo. Their earnings this year were absolutely mind boggling (their Switch sales matched those of the first release year) but people aren't paying attention thinking this is just a pandemic play. Nintendo capitalizing on these trends and surprising post-pandemic should be a strong catalyst for the stock. I should write to the CBOE and ask them to open options for the stock Lol. Anyway great video Dave, congrats.
I sort of like the thought process there, but I disagree with "people aren't paying attention", the stock has doubled over the last 2 years, its at an epic all time high, with a P/E in the 50's and a forward P/E that's even higher. Not convinced its a great investment at these prices, looks more like a bubble to me, zoom out your chart to "max" and look what happened the last time it reached such heights...
@@gordo3582 That's a good point but the P/E ratio that I've got is 17? Against an S&P 500 P/E of 22. With ADRs is always hard to get the best info. But I believe it is still cheap and the correction it suffered for a decade makes me even more bullish. Good luck!

Love this format and content. Also, amazing job on the presentation and production quality! It’s a large company but it might be worth adding Phillips to the list of contenders to invest based on your research. I personally tried many of the alternative color LED light strips out there and Hue is by far the most expensive but they are worth it.

I dont know exactly how but for the neon side maybe look into the gasses that power the signs. Argon, xenon, etc. Are there public companies. The signs need to get the gas somewhere
It would make sense but most of those trendy neons are backlit led lights.

could there also be a Trend coming up with Pop figures? Read some DD on FNKO and I actually bought some pop figures myself in December (without realizing what they really were lol). Personally, I think the guys that are pulling it off the best are from Youtooz (might be worth a look, they really materialize on meme culture and make for good resale due to limited series figures). However, they are a private company so FNKO might be our best bet. Might be a new Hype like fidget spinners or Beanie Babies so I wouldn't see it last longer than a year.

How do you get the search data for pinterest and amazon?
Pinterest published reports on business.pinterest.com and for amazon there are companies like jungle scout that have data intended to help amazon sellers but can give interesting insights for investors!
