      In my time at sea every deckhand had to learn this. We allway's made and repaired our own gear... both steel and poly-prophilene.

    My grand was a wire drawer. It was his job to draw the out to the right gauge. He help to make the rope for the first Forth Road Bridge.

    저런 방식으로 어부가 로프 절단되면 양쪽 3가닥 풀러서 깍지 끼우고 한가닥씩 스파키로 구멍내 쑤셔 넣는다. 2번씩.
    또 하나는 외줄낚기 애자줄에 고리 만들어 낚시 와이어선 고리와 8자매기로 연결한다.

    Way cool! I used to work for Western Sling in Denver, Colorado (Sedalia actually) doing this back in the 80’s Thank god I was mostly a delivery driver, and rarely had to fight with those things. Where have the years gone?

    When I operated cranes, I would change the reeving of the cable sometimes daily.
    It was only 7 / 8, and if you let it get away and it slap you across the face or head you were probably going to the E.R. .
    The ones I see here look like up to 3 inche diameters,, tremendous energy stored when it is bent . Screw up with these large cables, and that end can come around and get you so fast, and so hard, you can't get out of the way fast enough.
    100 percent concentration, knowledge, safety or you can be terrible hurt or worse...

      No they do not, as special glue is applied before compressing it.

    why not just fold rope back into a loop to pinch it off instead of waisting time splicing it
