    This is a tutorial for IOT or internet of things. This project teaches you how to control stuff over wifi with the wemos mini board and the blynk app. This tutorial also covers how to connect and code the Wemos D1 mini board, and how to get started with the Blynk app.

    go to ----> file // examples // Blynk // Boards_Wifi // NodeMCU ....👍
    and go on entering the rest .....
    char auth[] = " ";
    char ssid[] = " ";
    char pass[] = " ";
    if u still cant get it use this link below it definitely helps

    I tried this and it doesn't work with my D1 mini. I really struggle to understand how it could work without putting the wifi router details in the sketch? Can anyone help? I am completely new to all this.

    *****EDIT******
    Ok, to make this work you need to do it via wifi. Here's how: **I am using a Wemos d1 mini(generic from aliexpress). Everything he has in his vid is correct except the whole wifi thing.
    1) File-examples-blynk-boardswifi---ESP8266_Standalone
    2) Enter you Auth code from Blynk app
    3)Enter you wifi ssid and pw
    4)NOW use it exactly as he shows and it will indeed work.
    Such a great tut. It's just such an incredible shame that it doesn't tell you anything about wifi setup. Heck, even blynkwifi isn't in the sketch at all. It's ethernet. Anyone please assist? Thank you!
    I get DHCP failed! and could not get IP

      You need do put your network information and the blynk's token on Arduino code.

    Hey that might be a really simple question but what is the white board called where you stick the controller on? Thanks in advance

    • @AndreasStuben
      @AndreasStuben 3 года назад +1

      That is called a breadboard. You can buy those as is but I would recommend you get a kit with a few jumper, resistors and a few LED’s too.

    Do you have to log into your router and change port forwarding settings and stuff like that? Or does the blink app save you the trouble of changing router settings?

      I do believe he is using Internet instead of the term WiFi in which case they are NOT one in the same.

    This didn't work for me. The NodeMCU sketch for Blynk lets you enter your wifi network and it worked for me.

    the thing I need to know about blynk before I bother building anything with it is this, after blynk goes bankrupt and there servers are shut down does all this keep working?

    Just put the white LED on one PWM Pin and u can control the light better over the Slide Widget of Blynk (0-255). Just a tip :)

    Its just Ardunio with wifi why you make it looks like super quantum computer

    • @Fungineers
      @Fungineers  5 лет назад +3

      Lol. No i didnt make it look like a super quantum computer, but I am from a generation (about 5 years ago) when we had to program the esp8266 chip separately without a usb cable and it was not compatible with Arduino so had to program it separately and so on. The point is, that I am appreciating how easy it is to do stuff that 5 years ago was not possible for the average joe.
