$20 Smartbulb to interface with the IOT module: bit.ly/30x6HPl
This is a tutorial for IOT or internet of things. This project teaches you how to control stuff over wifi with the wemos mini board and the blynk app. This tutorial also covers how to connect and code the Wemos D1 mini board, and how to get started with the Blynk app.
So the BLYNK app company has everyone's wifi SSD and PWD !!?? And an MPU that can "do anything"....That's SO Skynet !! No Way !!
Thanks!
instead of going to ----> file // examples // Blynk // GettingStarted // BlynkBlink.....💩
go to ----> file // examples // Blynk // Boards_Wifi // NodeMCU ....👍
and go on entering the rest .....
char auth[] = " ";
char ssid[] = " ";
char pass[] = " ";
if u still cant get it use this link below it definitely helps
www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Control-Wemos-D1-Mininodemcu-Using-Blynk-Ap/
I tried this and it doesn't work with my D1 mini. I really struggle to understand how it could work without putting the wifi router details in the sketch? Can anyone help? I am completely new to all this.
*****EDIT******
Ok, to make this work you need to do it via wifi. Here's how: **I am using a Wemos d1 mini(generic from aliexpress). Everything he has in his vid is correct except the whole wifi thing.
1) File-examples-blynk-boardswifi---ESP8266_Standalone
2) Enter you Auth code from Blynk app
3)Enter you wifi ssid and pw
4)NOW use it exactly as he shows and it will indeed work.
Such a great tut. It's just such an incredible shame that it doesn't tell you anything about wifi setup. Heck, even blynkwifi isn't in the sketch at all. It's ethernet. Anyone please assist? Thank you!
I get DHCP failed! and could not get IP
thanks bro i was having the same issue
youre a hero man
thanks a lot
I was having the same issue. Blynk now connects to the board but the LED doesn't turn on and off. IS my setup correct? imgshare.io/image/img-20201217-041302.NQD0y7
how does it know your wifi username and password?!
You need do put your network information and the blynk's token on Arduino code.
you skipped too many steps im on GitHub arduino-esp8266.readthedocs.io/en/2.7.0/ ....clicked on it and after that its a thumbs down video... click on any thing and its page after page after page.. your no help.
dhcp failed - never worked for me
Cant get IP, DHCP failed ???
Thank-you for your time and effort for this very informative
I hope you can help here. I have checked and double checked and I have setup everything correctly and yet Blynk says the board isn't online yet. Any advice?
i update the app to the NodeMCU app as other have stated below. Blynk now says connected but the led doesn't turn on and off....anyone?
Hey that might be a really simple question but what is the white board called where you stick the controller on? Thanks in advance
That is called a breadboard. You can buy those as is but I would recommend you get a kit with a few jumper, resistors and a few LED’s too.
@@AndreasStuben Thank you I already bought one and played around :D It's a lot of fun
Nice guy you are a mine of gold for yt
Thank u bro...
I on the road now!
Do you have to log into your router and change port forwarding settings and stuff like that? Or does the blink app save you the trouble of changing router settings?
I do believe he is using Internet instead of the term WiFi in which case they are NOT one in the same.
It can also be developed using MicroPython.
Whats the big difference between the d1 v2 and v3?
This didn't work for me. The NodeMCU sketch for Blynk lets you enter your wifi network and it worked for me.
the thing I need to know about blynk before I bother building anything with it is this, after blynk goes bankrupt and there servers are shut down does all this keep working?
Lol
Ahaha.. deep thinker..🤣
Just put the white LED on one PWM Pin and u can control the light better over the Slide Widget of Blynk (0-255). Just a tip :)
how did you conect board to internet?
Its got an antenna to connect to wifi. Connected with blynk app
@@Fungineers I know that . You did not show how to connect to the network .Even the sketch you loaded does not show space to put login and password
It should be on the sketch
@@Fungineers Yes this is true you did not show how to connect the Wemos to wifi you totally miss this part ... please explain how to hook up to wifi
@@grimster76 I see. If you are using blynk you dont need that. Just put the authentication code that you receive from Blynk like I explained!
Its just Ardunio with wifi why you make it looks like super quantum computer
Lol. No i didnt make it look like a super quantum computer, but I am from a generation (about 5 years ago) when we had to program the esp8266 chip separately without a usb cable and it was not compatible with Arduino so had to program it separately and so on. The point is, that I am appreciating how easy it is to do stuff that 5 years ago was not possible for the average joe.
This board is way better and way more faster than arduino
“So damn easy you wouldn’t believe it!” That is extremely encouraging!!!
Thanks. I try to encourage people to experiment with new things and not be afraid of new territory. Thats the point of my channel.
