Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

His sarcasm was so on point, i was convinced he was serious at first 😆
Me too and I am every time I see this scene
Yeah I was thinking thst before until he said nobody explained it to me like that before, then I knew he was acting like he had dementia or something so Kim would fall for it.
😂 here in the south that accent and sarcasm is so familiar. I love it when I hear the elders speaking like this ❤
He sounds like my neighbor 🤣
Is this star wars?
18 000$ for your home?
This man is far more polite than me
If I remember correctly, that is on top of “fair market value”.
The contract says they can buy it out for $5000 over market value, and when he was being difficult, they increased the amount.
If I remember right, it’s not his house. It’s the banks but he has a long lease with tjem
He didn't own the land. It was leased to him for 100 years or something. The owner sold the land to Mesa Verde who offered to pay him for the house only. I think it was prefab, so it's cheaper.
You wouldn’t have done anything
That was a sweetener on top of market value of his home.
"Mr. Acker your line was 'that's way too low of a price'"
Ha!
It took me a minute but damn that’s a good one

Isn't that what I JUST said?

"Cabron. I need to kick your B A W L S."
18k for your house and land, even in the early 2000’s is absolute robbery
Robbery indeed 😮😮😮
Fair market value plus $18,000. That's $13,000 more than his contract stipulated.
They explain in the show that the land didn't belong to him only the house and his contract stipulated he could be bought out anytime with fair market value plus 5k, they were offering 18k instead
Well it's great that he does not own the land then
In the 70's it would have been a royal insult. You would have to back to the 50's 😂😂
Who else thought he was gonna ask her for a good pole polishing 😂
Me, unfortunately
Ngl tho😭
Guilty as charged.

Well, Mesa Verde already owns the property, they aren't paying for that, they are paying just to get him out without a big fuss. The old man's position is understandable but he did buy a house on a leased land, it's not that he didn't know that.
@@lepathewarrior4445 still a lease for 100 years

Barry Corbin is one of my absolute favorite actors.
Seriously underrated.
Smart guy, too. Texas Tech grad and I think his dad was a member of the Texas State Senate..
Sometimes it's the little things pur favorite actors do

@@jabbatheputz8825 Do you remember Urban Cowboy? He played John Travolta's uncle in that movie. That's the first time I remember seeing Barry Corbin in a movie.
A "gesture of goodwill."😂😂😂😂
😮😊
I mean, they had the choice just to arrest him, for squatting on land that wasn't his, so giving him 18k to move peacefully seems like a good deal to me.
I mean, it was 13k more than they had to.

I understood that reference
I love you for this reference
Every single role this man plays, I love it. His ability to deliver the exact amount and type of sarcasim and wit to his characters is always on perfect point.
"Mr. McKittrick, after very careful consideration, sir, I've come to the conclusion that your new defense system sucks."
"Swift kick in the bawlls". Never herd that one
Vulgar old men are the best
Tell that to hector 😂
He was more polite than I would have been lol
How was he Vulgar?
They were trying to force him for his home that he spent his life working on.
The arseholes trying to get home gone were the vulgar ones.
@@JakeSmith-st6vp Vulgar doesn't mean evil or unethical, it means uses foul language or actions. He uses vulgar language and I love that about him.
@JakeSmith-st6vp Jake, Jake, Jake, why would you write something so juvenile?
Even the kids here above are smart enough to correct you on the meaning of "vulgar".
Scenario: Tuco beats the sh>t out of those two skaters, one with a broken leg, using his grandma's walking cane & probably slits their throats later before burying them in the desert.
Jake's Mind: "But, how is Tuco being violent when they called his grandma a biznatch?"
Jake's mind works like every sociopath I've ever read about.
This actor is just perfect for the role
Edit: his name is Barry Corbin

The part of Saul and the guy delaying the destruction of the house, along with the presentation Saul made were the funniest scenes in better call Saul.
When they are gathered around looking at the plans and Saul is there with them lol

Imo Kim was the best character of this show , incredibly good acting skills, Always trying to keep a kind of poker face while always struggling with contradictory feelings.
Her character was the perfect balance to the excentricities of Jimmy
This show and BB always brought on great small-bit characters that gave the world so much more life
