The gun build is very similar to what I run on Ivy. I was mostly running high-velocity mag/headshot booster instead of hollow point, until recently playing against a Vindicta who 1-shot me with her ulti the second she got it, despite having decent hp left. Then it happened 2 more times due to me not respecting it. Derp lol. Just like you say, vindicta is scary in lane as Ivy. Not going to make that mistake again, the spirit shield is very nice against early burst, whereas early bullet damage is easier to account for. Ivy early game hp is ROUGH.
Yea I totally agree! Vindicta is also one of the most broken early game characters right now. As gun ivy in particular you generally need to play very safe early. I would suggest trying to not go a solo lane as that is even tougher. Gun Ivy late game can be a raid boss though!
I have played games where I build a very tanky ivy. I only decide to do this when we have a team full of farmers/assassin type characters. Lacking any tanks such as Kelvin, Abrams, Mo and so on. Ivy can be a great support character, does not quite replace one of those tanky characters though.

Glad you enjoyed!
Do you ever play support ivy? If so, when do you decide to go that route?
