The photos are very misleading. These people (Jobs, Branson, Zuckerberg etc. ) are not social entrepreneurs but rather commercial entrepreneurs. Some are social media entrepreneurs. But the speaker does describe social entrepreneurs very well. Social entrepreneurs transform societies. Branson is just a marketing man who leverages his brand. He has not transformed either air travel or train travel.

How can you say that mark zukarburg and others are not social entrepreneurs. They are also solving a social problem, Unemployment . They employed thousands of people in their company. Doesn’t it is a social work?

Yes, vision plus action are two essential keys to succeed. As an entrepreneur, we have to clarify our vision ones that happen just apply actions on that vision to make it into a reality.

AirBnB is a nightmare for the local residents of thousands of large non-U.S. cities, it drives up the area rent prices while reducing the supply of long term rentals (6 mos+). Rent prices are now nearly what they would be in the rich countries where these incoming tourists are from (so no more good deals). Rents have nearly doubled in less than 5 years in some places like Medellin, Colombia. Great for a few (AirBnB and Property Owners) but horrible for long term renters and folks who live in those areas and need a place to stay. It forces lower income people to live farther away from where they work. It is actually driving many tourists to live in hotels which in many cases is much cheaper than spending 2 weeks in an AirBnB. I say only allow 6-month+ AirBnB rentals, this will bring things back to normal somewhat.
