(Yikes, this reader isn't that literate... You'd think the Editor would flag things.)

Narrator is a bit wooden but very easy to listen to. Thank you! Not many ads, either

Sorry Unlistenable. Mr Lane had a lot of problems with varying mis-pronunciations of names, words. It was tedious. Please get someone with more familiarity with French for Poirot stories. Miss Christie deserves better.

I find Arthur Lane the most listenable of all the narrators of Agatha's works.

I have never been able to listen to Hercule Poirot stories because the narrators seem to want to effect a french accent which I have never been able to decipher. I just don't have an ear for accents. This narrator doesn't pretend an accent so I am really enjoying listening to this story. I am now subscribed. Thank you so much and Happy Holidays to you.

Hugh Fraser's superb reading includes acccents, but I (who am like you) have never struggled to understand. Contrary to David Suchet's reading. Both are excellent actors, however, and add greatly to the stories.

Love this narrator. Could/would you load more Agatha Christie works read by Arthur Lane? Very enjoyable, thank you.

The law limits us in this matter. We can only publish Christie's books released before 1928. We've released all the Hercule Poirot books that are in the Public Domain. Perhaps we'll publish a book from outside the series (The Secret of Chimneys / The Man in the Brown Suit / The Secret Adversary), but it's more likely to happen in the second half of the year.

The number of mispronunciations - sometimes as many as two in one sentence of the same name - made this reading hilarious at times but the narrator soldiered on, his delivery well timed, if odd sounding. Lots of fun!
