      That's Cool. To Be Honest I Usually Have My Thoughts Racing So Fast I Often Have Several Subjects In My Mind At Once. I Often Listen to Variety of Music and Relax To Different Styles. I've Got Aquaintances In Several States And the Only Instrument I Play Is Occasional Piano But Very Much Amateur and When I Happen Upon One. Your Guitar 🎸 Riffs Are Very Unique and I'm Sure You Have Years of Things That You Have Experienced. And I Do Want To Mention I Truly Hope Steven Tyler is Doing Well As I Know Life has Twists And Bumps. And I Watch Each Member of Aerosmith in the Videos Too. I'm Also Into Alice Cooper and Other Great Rock Artists. Joe Perry I Hope You Have a Great Day and Night.

    • @michellehawkins2865

      @Joe Perry Hi. I've Been Into Aerosmith Since I Was a Kid But There Was A Clothing Store in My Hometown That Kept an Aerosmith Sign on The Wall. It Is Closed These Days But I Learned Of the Group Through The Store. They Were Selling Blue Jeans On One Section and Had Just The Aerosmith And Wings Logo. I Had Cable TV in The House For a Year until Mom Discontinued It. Alice Cooper Was Shown Frequently in An Advertisement. I've Also Been Listening to Music From Different States And The Rock N Roll Scene Is Very Much Alive !!! I'm Into Blu Maxx band in Georgia and there's a Lot of Underground Artists in Tennessee That Have Cool Rock Sounds. I Met A Guitar Player about 3 Years ago He Said He Was From Potliquor Group in Louisiana. He Was Les Wallace. My Conversations Are Often Several Directions Cause My Mind Goes Different. Joe Perry I Hope You Have a Great Day.

      @Joe Perry Actually I've Not Been to Any Big Name Rock N Roll Concerts. But I Have Seen a Band that Called Themselves Free Fare. My School Years Was in the 70s and 80s. I've Met One Member of Potliquor Band who Is From Louisiana. He Said He Was Les Wallace. About 3 Years Ago. I've Seen A Few Bands in Florida and Georgia that Were Just Locals. And I've Accidentally Seen the Band Poison At a Distance. In Pennsylvania Going Through. I Often Watch The Episodes of Nights With Alice Cooper On RUclips. But I Do Like The Videos of Your Guitar Riffs and Interviews. I'm Very Into Rock N Roll and I Like To Hear Your Songs. Ray Tabano Is Also a Cool Person to Learn about. I'm Aware I'm All Directions In Thoughts. Joe Perry I Hope You Have a Great Night. Continue To Be Curious And Create Your Dreams Your Way.

During this period his "Citizen" life was kinda sucky but he had fun playing away from ROSMITH .

    Jo was heavily influenced by punk when this album was released. I’ve always thought of it as his punk metal album. If you’re looking for melodic pop sophistication keep walking. But if you like to have your ears blown off by surf garage punk dabbled with metal yea is pretty good. Pop 90s Aerosmith fans are horrified by it. It’s the Anti Corporate Aero album. I’m about due to go buy another copy. Mine keeps walking away to my kids or friends who go WTF! And have to have it. Never a big seller in its day but it’s 43 years old and here we are, talking about it.

      Let the pop 90s Aero fans stay horrified. Real Aerosmith fans know that prior to Permanent Vacation this was the real sound of Aerosmith and not the corporate abomination they became.

      I think Farren and the rest of the band quit after the tour for this record. The record company were not happy with the sales of the 2nd record either and dumped the band, helping with this versions demise. Whole new band (and label) with the next record.
      But don't believe that selling more records means that the music is better... McDonald's sells more food than anyone... but it is certainly not the best food.

      3 Albums, 3 Years, 3 Singers. Joe was the one with the problem. That being said, I loved the JPP. Wished he never went back to Aerosmith for there watered down stage. Of course if he kept on with the JPP, he might be looking for his 37th lead singer by now...

    • @MrRidleyDog
      @MrRidleyDog 7 лет назад +9

      Headstones2013 The problem with Ralph was he was a drunk that couldn't make it to the shows and be a professional. The "problem" with Charlie was there was not enough money to go around. The problem with Mach Bell, was Mach Bell and the shows were getting smaller and smaller. Of course Joe's substance abuse was an issue as well, but David Hull stuck it out and still plays with Joe, so it's not like Joe is a giant asshole or something.

    I've never seen this video before now nor back in '81. I wonder where it was shown, if at all then. I think the first and second line-ups sounded good as well as the first and second albums. The bootlegs are worth listening to also. It's not easy going solo from a big name band, but they were rockin'.
    I gotta say Joe looks pretty hot here too...wears those genes well. (Sorry, had to let out that young teen.) Thanks for uploading the video.

    • @Trial212
      @Trial212 2 года назад +1

      The label he was on at the time buried his stuff. He got shit for support. It was a calculated move to force him to go back to Aerosmith. It was rock business sleaze at its best....

    • @Grendelmonster8u
      @Grendelmonster8u 2 года назад +1

      @@Trial212 Well, that’s to be expected if you sign with the same label (Columbia Records) which was Aerosmith’s label. They’re out to make money and Joe back in Aerosmith was more likely to be successful which was true. Joe signed with another label (MCA) but the album didn’t do so hot. It’s hard to go solo from a band that’s still touring. I’m trying to think of people who went solo because of disagreements and were successful. David Gilmour?
      I think it all worked out for the better anyway.
      Yeah, there’s sleaze in the music industry. I like Pink Floyd’s song “Welcome to the Machine.” The record companies are taking a gamble, though. You just have to read the fine print.

    I still wanna know how Joe would sound if he learned to play guitar left handed, like he is left handed. The only reason he plays right handed is because that's how it looked in the book when he was teaching himself guitar. He thought that's how your supposed to hold it. True story.

    • @KidaMilo89
      @KidaMilo89 4 года назад +2

      Lefties have it a bit hard in the world, nearly everything is made for right-handers and back then a lot of guitars were made only for righties. He can play left-handed as well, I've seen him do it.

      I would like to know how I would play guitar if I had been allowed to play the normal way, left handed, but the studio where I took lessons, adamantly refused to let me play left handed. (1970)

    • @greatwhite3676
      @greatwhite3676 4 года назад

      I switched to right handed when I was about 12 and started taking playing seriously BEST move I ever made. Playing lefty looks cool but it just is not practical now I can go into any store and pickup tons of guitars. Buy them online etc...

    • @Trial212
      @Trial212 2 года назад

      I wonder as well. Joe has said that it feels "backwards at times", Look at the SKILL it took to do what he did!!! Pretty darn cool. BTW, I just found out that Gary Moore and Mark Knopfler are both lefties that learned to play right handed. Mr Perry is in some amazing company!!!
