Great to see you’ve got it working! I was trying to use my tig on some aluminum the other day without knowing what I was doing and I ended up with a puddle. 🤣
So, Hans at Charming Hollow Forge says to use a thin piece of pine to check the temp of your aluminum. If you rub the pine on it and it turns brown then it’s the right temp. If it turns black it will crack and a quick quench to bring the temp down enough to forge. Check his video called “forging aluminum” for more, better information. Good luck, bud!
