Now you've got me looking at other potato diggers ... down the rabbit hole! So much better than the garden fork and hand shovel. Only thing I think you are missing is a little drag-behind sled or wheeled wagon for the potatoes to roll into and dump in a single pile at the end of the row to fill the buckets from.
I LOVE IT!! I want to build one!Do you have plans or dimensions? Did you video any of the build? Is there any way I can get ahold of you? I really want to build one over the winter for next year.
Great video. Looks like PEI soil. I use too grow quite a few potatoes. 7 different types and 1200 lbs one year. I’ve cut away back. Can’t dig with a shovel any more. Would have loved to have one of those diggers. About 200 lbs last year. Was a poor crop. 500 the year before. That pretty well did me in. Not growing blues any more. How do you control the potatoe bug. Colorado potatoe beetle. Nice looking crop there. The ones I nick or cut I keep them out of the ones I’m going to store. I eat cut ones first. Thanks for the video. Have a great day.

Thanks!! Same to you!
Genius! You are a man of many talents.
I use a cheap plastic manure fork to pick up the potatoes after, saves on the ole back bones! 😁👍
Excellent Job!!

@@stevebowman1645 thanks for responding and making such a nice video! I like to call myself a fabrimcobbler. The shoe fits, I got to wear it..
I used to leave my potatoes out for a few days as after digging to dry, weather permitting of course.
A great crop of potatoes, harvested using only scrap metal. Brilliant. Are you in Ireland or Canada?
Thank you!! I live in Newfoundland, Canada
Very cool contraption ya built there. It works and that's all that matters. What time is dinner?
