    would all this steps require if we want to establish connection from WinSCP (other sftp tools) to blob storage to pull the file from storage account?

    since this is a SFTP enabled storage account and files are getting stored in the storage account blob containes, whats the point of using SFTP as a linked service and not storage account itself? I am trying to understand the use case of creating SFTP linked service vs storage account linked service.

      You are write you can directly use storage account if you have data in the storage account but this demo was to show how to connect and use sftp service in general from ADF, it could be a SFTP native or licensed or storage with Storage account
