That's really cheap! Definitely has something wrong with it. Not running, wrecked, theft recovery? Seller doesn't know what he has! If it's a base model, it's worth somewhere between $10,000 -$12000. If it's a GXP, or Redline, it's worth between $13,000 -$17,000.
Beautiful car and I thought I wanted one but I recently learned there is basically no usable trunk space. How are you guys dealing w that? I'll probably end up settling for an MX-5 instead.
I have a Pontiac solstice, (RED GXP) trunk space is no issue. In my opinion the Saturn sky or Pontiac solstice isn't meant to be a everyday driver... Plenty of room in the back with the top down for a couple of overnight duffle bags, his and hers! If you are looking to haul a trunk full of groceries, trips to the hardware store, hauling the family, the solstice or sky is not your car. If you are looking to put the top down, wind in your hair, good performance, good driving behaviors, (GXP) or (SKY RED LINE) is the way to go! If you're holding back on not buying a Pontiac solstice or a Saturn sky because of trunk space, you're missing the whole point of the car! This is a convertible made for driving on Sunny nice days!
I choked when I heard $29k. Then when I heard nearly $2k more than the Solstice or Miata I died. I've seen ZERO of these on the road in the last decade!! Their slogan should be " All the fun of a Miata, with none of that pesky reliability."
These are surprisingly reliable as they’re a parts bin car and use a lot of common CTS and Cobalt parts (yes some are becoming more rare), and the manual was the H3 transmission used by Toyota. The ecotec engine is tough and can run on 87 even more reliably than Hyundais 2.0t ever could (ecotec came out before and is more powerful than the VW gdi of that era). Also, this is a faster car than the Miata. It competes with the Cayman S in terms of performance and posted auto cross times.
Also forgot to add, that’s before mods. You can do anything that you could do to a Cobalt SS to the Red Line. So you could mod it to probably around 400 whp safely and throw bigger rims and fatter tires as it can handle it. This car is stupid fast for the money and highly underrated.
I bought a Miata last spring and a Soltice this spring, love both of them. The Soltice is a keeper so far, 18 inch tires instead of 15 inch baby tires in the Miata.
Beautiful roadster, too bad GM didn't continue making more roadsters under the Chevy badge
I love my redline. Just fun
I love the Sky, and I have a Solstice GXP
I seen one for sale for 6K with 56,000 miles on it I’m thinking about getting it

"Boy racer styling of the Solstice" ?????
the guy closing the trunk is doing it wrong. Do not push on those humps! just let it fall into place.

Got mine....
Looks like it's been stepped on. Very flat looking.
You need to see it 'live'. It is super stylish. Almost as much as a Solstice.

I have seen plenty here in Hendersonville. lol

Because people keep them in their garages and they aren’t daily driver cars….
